August 18, 20205 yr 4790K @4.6 1070 16GB RAM Anyone who is read up knows ATM this is not the sim for airliners. So after 16 hours within the sim today on my old PC My setting for the 152,172 Stream gauge version and the super fast Shock Ultra. Setting at "High End" plus clouds and textures at Ultra. FPS 48-52 London with Orbx content from city to EGLL 42 FPS, Night same flight with overcast 37. NY =42 16 hours not one crash even when messing with custom cameras for 3 hours and countless changing things, not one CTD or a crash of any sort. So personally I am over the moon at this sim and its performance. Once they have worked on airliners and PMDG etc come out I will have a 10900k and a 3080 etc by then. So until then I will for the first time enjoy the world as never before. All out the box.( apart from Orbx little addon for London) NY is like OMG. David Murden. August 18, 20205 yr i7 10700 2080 Super 32 gb @ 3200mhz game on WD Black SSD Very happy with performance. A few stutters right after starting up a flight but goes away and I get 30-50 fps with ultra settings.

That's what I'm wondering. Bearing in mind that everyone that is now playing for the first time has 0 bytes of cached data and will be starting from scratch. Assuming that after a few days, some folk will be flying around the same areas again and they will already have scenery stored locally, the server hit will be less.

Exact same as you although I left clouds on High End. Took off from EGCC in 172 and getting 50-60 FPS flying around the northwest. I've just bought the ORBX London City Pack and now loading in at EGLC to EGLL to test London performance. Overall very happy with my rig because its quite a few years old! Obviously ready for an upgrade at some point but this will do me for the moment! Edited August 18, 20205 yr by sidfadc Thomas Derbyshire
August 18, 20205 yr Nice first flight, Smooth enough. Cruised around with the Cessna 150 trimmed for 80 mph 1900 rpm, used the mouse to look around for a hour sight seeing, hardly touched the Microsoft ff 2 stick, the stick throttle slider didn't work however didn't need it, just used mouse in cockpit . I have a 1070 ti, 16 gigs memory, i7-8700. High settings.

August 18, 20205 yr Surprisingly good! i7 7700K RX 480, 8GB 16 GB Ram 1080p Medium settings with buildings, trees, grass and clouds on high. In areas with generic city scenery and countryside around 40 - 50 fps. Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved

In P3D locking at 30 was awesome and freed up some performance. Windows doesn't let me access the sim executable, so I cannot use NCP to restrict the .ese to half refreshrate. For P3D this works super smooth! Karl i9-9900K@5,0 | 32GB 3200 | 2080TI | 4K 55" | MSFS | P3D V5
August 18, 20205 yr i5 4670k 16gm ddr3 1600mhz rx 570 8gb high settings with clouds on ultra been doing 25-40 fps at 1080p
August 18, 20205 yr Apologies for the cross-post Anyone else seem to be having this problem? As I'm flying and monitoring my performance settings, I notice that the GPU is usually not running at 100% or even close to that. Typically, it seems to be running between 35-60%. I'm averaging 30 FPS with frequent dips into the 20's. My system: Ryzen 7 2700x, 16 GB RAM at 3000Mhz, GTX 1660, and the sim and OS are on two different SSDs. I'm only flying at 1080p.

August 18, 20205 yr i9 10900K @ 5.1 GHz all-core 32GB 3,600 MHz 2080 Ti Ultra settings at 4K HDR10 yield about 40 FPS with the Bonanza at a major airport (KDEN) and 45-50 FPS at a smaller GA airport (KTEX, KASE, KSEZ). I haven't tried any jets yet.
August 18, 20205 yr Good so far, my install detected ultra everything so we went with it. All on highest settings except motor and boat traffic which are set for 50. i was happy to see that Nvlink does activate both of my GPUs and spreads the load evenly. specs: i9-10900k 2x rtx 2080ti using Nvlink 64 gb 3200 ddr4 resolution is 3440 x 1440 / 120 hz internet speed 300+ mbs down. Went up Lake Michigan, along Chicago and at best FPS dropped to only 39. I am happy! But I'm impatient... has anyone run it on a 4770k and/or GTX1060 at 1080p and can report on performance? I'm running a 4770K (@4,5Ghz water cooled), 32GB 2400 Ram, GTX1080ti @2560x1440, SSD. On this basis, sims sets the setting to medium on first run. FPS on avg is 30-40 (EBBR (Brussels) starting point) but CPU goes regullary to 100% load which causes stutter each time it hits 100%. Lowered to ultra low settings, FPS goes to just over 70 but not smooth. FPS capped at 30 (in NCP) because VSync in game doesn't seem to work or if it works, it works odd. Still loads of stutter. Lowered res to 1920x1080. No cure. Still looking for improvement. Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600.
