Started download at 5:30 am US EST, completed all 96 GB at 6:05 am. Fastest install for me (I am/was an Alpha tester and those took ages).

Did someone say you need Windows 10 v2004 in order to get the sim working properly? Is that correct? Will I be fine if I download / install without it?

I started the download for the windows update but it's stuck at 93% on the installer...

No. Win 10 version 1909 works fine.

Downloading at 50Mbit/s...my max speed should be around 250. Slow as a turtle.

Downloaded fine over the course of 5 hours overnight.

Just physically copy/move the folder to your desktop D drive. You then need to find the config file in the Local State (?) directory so you can update the location. Sorry to be a bit vague but I don't currently have MFS installed to check location and filenames.

Why on earth didn't you just point to your D drive in the first place?

Thanks for the suggestion Sam. At first place I pointed the installer to MSFS2020 folder in the D drive. After downloading 5gb I thought that,  must have backup in the external hard drive permanently for future installation just like I do for P3DV4.5 and its add-ons.  Since D drive is dedicated to MSFS installed program files from MS Store i.e msdownload.temp, WpSystem, Program files and WindowsApp.  Now copying all 95.15gb content from external hard drive to MSFS2020 folder on D drive.  Thank you.

Same here. Download took 1 1/2 hours @ 500mbps. Very smooth with no hiccups.

Fine for me from the MS store, It seemed to download the main simulator and then after running that it updated all the other upgrades as I bought the Premium Deluxe version.

Going out for a walk to clear the head, Someone told me to download Xbox pass app and download from there, but still the same issue..

I am hoping someone will do a youtube video to help with this issue

I tried testing by clicking the Premium deluxe edition Launch button in MS Store on 9th of August and those files got installed

Yes, Very smooth.  I had tried the changing location thing earlier in the day and received the "insert disc" error so I changed it back and just waited until the official release time for my location.  I had done some reading during the day so the only thing that I did that I might not have otherwise done was turn off Windows Defender during the download.  The download took me just over an hour and the installation onto a dedicated M.2 went without a hitch to include my Delux content being in the sim when I launched it the first time.

Same, just a touch over an hour to download, have 960mbps.  Install fired up, smoother experience then ever was in beta.

I can get into the sim, content manager checks for updates, there is one for 59.97 GiB, now it says "please wait".....   Is this what others have seen?

Came back after 4 hours and saw the download was stuck at 13 GB. Quit the application and restarted. The download continues at good speed for a while and stops again. On again, off again. 79 GB to go............  Resource monitor shows multiple streams from MS servers, Amazon webservices on Amazon cloudfront servers on US west coast. Probably struggling to keep up under heavy demand.

Using MS Store to install this morning, US Eastern time zone. Not getting very far, when I click install, select a drive, message comes up "Try again later. A problem occurred on our end". Guessing the MS servers are overloaded.

UPDATE: The Microsoft Store Install service was disabled. Started it and download began.

Yes, you need to wait,  mine took 7 hours in between many please waits and long decompressing of files.
