Ground services per ATC request..........Is this a joke? NOOO, it isn´t, it is as real as it gets in MSFS.

I am so happy to have P3D V5 installed. P3D for the realism and MSFS for fun. That is at least the current status and how I use it. I think months will pass till QW, FSLabs and PMDG will be available. So I will have a "game" to fly in stunning graphics and a "Sim" to Simulate flying in a "somehow older looking format" but still good to me.

Keep in mind: This is my opinion!

What ground services does P3Dv5 have that you don't have to shell out $30 for an add-on to get? None except FSX's original pushback? Yet you are mad that they made it easy to request ground services via the ATC interface? Come on. This is silly.

If you think FSX's launch wasn't this bad, you have a bad memory. The game was essentially unplayable for the first several months due to performance issues and crashes. It took years before people could even turn basic settings to high. And the default planes were nowhere near the fidelity MSFS has.

Really it’s all the downgrades in functionality from FSX that get me.

-Remember when you could open the map mid flight and make a whole new Flightplan?

-Remember when you could open the map and click any airport and get all the frequencies/runway information etc for said airport?

-Remember when we had a replay function? (Yea I know it’s on the list)

and the list goes on... my personal belief is that any sequel should have at very least the features of the previous iteration, but alas I’m alone in that belief.

My opinion is pretty good. But my fears came true regarding the bad quality of Bing Maps in many areas. And the included default airports are somehow very strange. International airports are completely missing while they included some grass strip where in reality is absolutely nothing. Also quite a lot is still covered in landclass instead of Bing Maps which gives you the old orbx FTX Global vibe...

You can get the ILS frequencies in-game by clicking the physical location of the ILS hardware (on the world map) at the ends of the runways or, sometimes, beside the runways.

Still an achievement how Asobo tricked all major gaming outlets, even the most respected ones, to shell out the 10/10 reviews. I mean of course a regular gamer can't grasp a flight simulator, but there are many, many issues that go unnoticed in the reviews.

Agree 100%

this game is simply a re-hash of microsoft Flight with better scenery

everything else is basically just ported over and enhanced with better eye candy

My initial excitement died off quickly after seeing the IFR preview episode, which made it clear that there would be no improvement in terms of IFR capabilities.
