The winner in the nomination "The most immodest price" 😃

For the new  Bristol scenery asking for EUR 21.49

It looks like prices are starting to come to life.)

This is what generally happens when "professionalism" is blurred by "entertainment."

MSFS

How will this work? Do I need to buy specific city updates like this to get it updated, or will it eventually be updated by Asobo? If they plan to update it at some point anyway I will not buy the addon.

Bristol is my home city. We are currently missing Many landmarks, suspension bridge, Severn bridges to wales etc

Completely overpriced for average scenery. I wouldn’t pay anything more than £10 for their scenery tbh. It’s just not good enough and won’t improve unless you vote with your wallet. My hometown is EGCC if they released it tomorrow as much as I want it I would wait for something better.

agreed, even though they have the the christmas sales with up to 40$ off. Still, it's expensive.

Agreed. This is a shameful grab by UK2000. I invested a bit in the Mega Airports for P3D/ FSX stuff by him for authenticity of taxiways and terminals but at this price I'm genuinely surprised by Gary's approach to pricing for the new sim.

Shame as I was looking forward to seeing his work for MSFS - at that price it'll save me the bother of even looking at it.

A few minutes later. . .

Ok, ok I looked. I'll keep my opinion of it to myself for now.

At least he is offering a 50% discount for all past purchasers of P3D/ FSX previous products.

Aerosoft is great! The first scene is free and is now released by AIRPORT ST. TROPEZ MSFS for EUR 8.36

Agreed.

A fairly unsafe sales estimation: 1 Mio MSFS customers, only 10% buying add-ons, and maybe 1% buying a specific one. That makes 10.000 €/$ ...for that one add-on which is saled for 10 €/$.

Won't be going anywhere near this. Would probably have picked it up at £10. It looks like a reorganisation of default assets & somewhat lifeless. Believe in supporting independent developers where possible - but he's shooting himself in the foot here.

Just imagen, you choose a lower price. Then maybe 5% out of the 10 will buy the specific addon -> will increase your revenue. I think Orbx is going the right path, and will be the winners on the end. When Bristol is 20 pounds what is he planning to charge for airports like heathrow or gatwick?

Nobody knows what Asobo will update, I cannot imagine Bristol is high on the list of world priorities.

For all anyone knows this could be the only Bristol addon we ever see!

My guess is they are testing the water, seeing what sort of returns they get at this price point and may alter there pricing as they go.

I read it, did the currency conversion from GBP to USD and then said "Huh? Yeah that price can't be right".  But indeed it was, and I will for sure not buy it.  Looks average anyway.  I believe it is imperative that we speak with our wallets on this one or we're all gonna be spending $30 or more for everything again.

I intend to be vastly more discriminating with regard to addon purchases for this great new MFS release than I was/still am for previous FS releases. Money-grabs, temporary as they may be, will   *permanently*   turn me off to any particular third-party vendor. But hey, if the vendors are able to exact exorbitant prices, then more power to them! Count me out though. Additionally, with the exception of a few early participants, I am a bit suspect of those who have so quickly produced addons for this new MFS release. Oh, did someone say port over?

I don't mind a port over if it provides an upgrade to the scenery and is priced accordingly, say, between 9.99 and 14.99 - anything above that, and it better be a killer addon.
