what kind of category do you fall into, If I may ask? Not the general population I guess.

rated pilot?

I am a general flight sim user and have used P3D, FSX, and X-Plane over the years and have been using MSFS quite a bit lately. I am not a rated pilot and don't even pretend to be even when I fly a PMDG 737.

Reading this with great interest....FWIW, I bought, then returned MSFS for a variety of reasons, most having to do with performance on my computer. However, if someone adds a DC3 such as Manfred Jahn's version, or even payware, I will likely be back in. With that said, ideally for me would be a P3D upgrade that utilizes Google maps, or similar cloud based satellite imagery ala MSFS. For now, I have not upgraded to V5 while 4.5 with the hotfixes works perfectly for my sim needs.

P3D upgraded to stream Google Earth rather will not happen.

A scenario, however, I could imagine is an ORBX TE streaming version that streams their True Earth scenery from their dedicated servers. I think that's doable.

Yup, that would do it.

It could be ORBX TE hosted by...  ORBX of course.

The problem I see is that ORBX, has to edit many areas and hand places every autogen object in their TE series; that takes months or even Years, depending on the area size covered.
IMO, getting TE quality into P3D has to be automated (Like BlackShark AI.), or somehow get Google into a partnership.

Time, is the one thing no one can buy.

I love how Orbx TE Florida looks.  But it's definitely resource heavy.  More so I think than MSFS scenery.

There's a French developer that generates Autogen via AI for P3D. Looks good, too.

Do you have a link for this Dimitrios?

Cheers

Not sure if I'm allowed to post such links here. Google for “France“, “VFR“, and “3DAutomation®“.

wrt to the OPs post, here's what I am looking forward to in v5.

  • MD-11 by TFDi
  • Zim Sceneries Narita
  • Flytampa Sydney v2
  • Flightbeam Auckland
  • FSimstudios Vancouver
  • PMDG 777

With all of these installed in v5, I am going to be doing a lot of flying hopefully in the remaining part of this year!😁 Not sure of the exact timings but they are all in the pipeline so I am keeping my fingers crossed!

Regards

Any rumors, scuttlebutt, gossip or even facts about what's happening?

nothing new,  addons are still being released by all the developers with bugs as normal.  Heres a 747 flying in circles as it cant follow a simple route.

V4.5  Fine no problems.   v5   you cant mess with the range selector or it does a CRJ and flies in circles.  just saying

Well it looks like FSimStudios has some competition  in the Vancouver department. I see FSDT just released a good rendition of CYVR for MSFS.

According the FSim Studios their version for P3Dv4/5 will be inbound by October 31st as well as their one for MSFS following a fortnight later.
