At the risk of taking the discussion off-topic I’ll say just this. The vast majority of my flying is IFR in jets. I’m eagerly awaiting the FS Labs Concorde which is being developed for P3D only so that sim will always remain on my computer.

I don’t like the forced updates in MSFS and no historical weather is a major drawback. One day maybe but for low-level VFR flying only.

It seems strange no explanation is forthcoming. 

It's not strange at all when you consider MS/Asobos stance to direct communication in the past when things go wrong - they go silent. They have history of poor communication when it matters, as you say these issues have persisted since SU5 and server issues are worse than they were pre-SU5 but there's been barely any word as to why.

That’s not good. If these interruptions are spoiling your flying experience you have every right to be frustrated.

Is there a more formal way of raising a complaint? A ticket system?

You can create Zendesk Tickets which is a reporting system they use, which I've found to be next to useless in the past so don't bother any more.

I opened few assistance tickets recently and they replied promptly. Regarding this low bandwidth problem, I didn't open any ticket because switching offline/online my account helped. Today the game services has been updated, hoping this helps. MSFS is a very complex flight sim, with problems, but I like it very much because it is improving constantly and I'm enjoying the FBW A320 so much.

It’s strange, as it seems to some affect some users constantly, and others not at all. I have never had a “low bandwidth” warning in the almost two years I have been using MSFS (starting in the alpha). I do occasionally get a “you have been disconnected from the server” message, but it normally reconnects by itself within seconds without any specific action on my end.

Over the past week, I have watched almost every one of Chewy’s and Fabio’s Twitch streams demonstrating the PMDG 737, and I don’t think either has had a “low bandwidth” message even once, even though they are sometimes online for hours. Both occasionally have had stutters - especially on the ground at complex airports, but that is a different problem.

Same for me, and although this thread proves that the problem is indeed out there somewhere I'm not so sure that it is particularly widespread. On the official forum only about 400 users have submitted responses to the poll recently started by the Moderators.

I watched Chewies first 4 hr video on the 737 and seen myself no warnings. I had been wondering about Fabios though not watched his videos

I have yet to read an official comment on their forums. All I have seen is some moderator, who probably does not work for Asobo, say they are aware of it. Given a 470 post thread dates back a good 6 to 9 months on the same subject and no comment from Asobo I am concerned it's being swept under the carpet. I have tried different servers and have an extremely fast Internet speed so this is very annoying. Been plaques with it for a week now

I think they are volunteers from the community. At least one mod from the MSFS forum mentioned this recently.

Managed to do two short, around 1hr, flights yesterday without the issue.

Can I ask what you mean the game services have been updated?

2 pc’s ;  took off from Amsterdam and within 15 minutes on both pc the message that the connection had been lost and if I want to switch to Offline mode ….

You can try an experiment with the Google tile mod to see if you get the error with non-bing servers.

Also turn off photogrammetry, live wx and multi-player for testing.

never had it before, 1gb internet connection, getting it every 5 mins or so for most of the flight since the last couple of weeks
