The internet in the US is a joke.

A phone tower that is not saturated doesn't exist.

bs

Don't generalize -- I have 115 Mbs download speed consistently. It may be a joke in some places, but not everywhere.

This, from Asobo:

"The message 'Your bandwidth is too low for data streaming, you have been switched to offline mode' appears when the bandwidth was inferior to 5Mbps during the download or if it takes more than 3 seconds to load a tile during a flight."

So ... while your local WiFi or LAN can be blazingly fast - and your connection via your ISP may be similarly fast - all it takes is a small hiccup at the Google server end (regardless of whether you're using the tiles mod or not) and you're likely to get this problem every now and then.

IMHO, Asobo fiddled with the timeout/threshold around SU7. All it needs is for the 3 seconds timeout to be set a little higher (and maybe raiser the Mbps value slightly as well, while they're at it).

I have had this 3x in the past 24 hours yet when I immediately perform a speedtest using Ookla I am getting over 500Mbps download.

Frustrating to say the least and appears to be a long running issue going by this post which came up on Google when I searched for a solution.

I just had a 2 hour flight with this message every few minutes. Must be on MS' side.

Same here.. 😉

I experience the same error while I have a stable 1Gbit connection here.
I also checked my connection during the times it happens, no lags or other stuff.

Happened twice now, start a flight just before it loads in "Your bandwidth is too low, you have been switched to offline mode".  I'm on a wired 200GB connection and my speeds are just fine...

Is this a bug?

Thanks

Have you installed the App goggle maps? That's the most likely reason you're getting that message. You need to make it reset back to MSFS default internet connection server.

Anyone getting this message, do you also get a sound degradation? i.e. crackling like static electricity?
