Steam version is easy open Steam app in there you click on flightsim.exe and lot of options to find exe location

Well still can't get the wretched thing to finish downloading/updating. Stuck on one of the large files where it takes ages to get to 2% then drops back to zero. I left the PC on all afternoon while we went out and still no joy.

Tried running the command line instruction and found the exe to run as Administrator, no difference. No response from Zendesk about the issue either.

Think I will leave it for a few days and play Elite Dangerous for a bit, see if As"booboo" can sort out this mishkever.

Do you have the same problem as me? When i start at the gates with the 787 or A320 in Cold and Dark, the time to enter my flight plan... the crash game. I had a crash game to Atlanta and Changi Singapore.

I'm assuming, based on a flight with the caravan, the default A320, and the upgraded A320, that the bug when you enter an approach and it flies to your previous waypoint hasn't been fixed?

 

Or am I doing something wrong?

Was there on the original release, got removed with the first patch, is back with the 2nd patch.

After the last uddate i get crash when i finish the checklist and start the taxi, but if i start the fly firectly from runaway the game doen's crash, anyone has the same problem?

Well now that's odd.

I shut down the program yesterday evening while it was still 5Gb short of the whole patch, trying to grab one of the big files.

This morning, I decided to see what was happening. I got the loading screen but no update menu then, after about 3 or 4 minutes, the normal thin progress line started to appear along the bottom. Went to clean my teeth and on coming back, presented with the in game menu screen.

Go figure...

Am hoping Asobo did something overnight which has enabled the patch to finish, my only concern is that somehow I ended up with a half patched version. Guess I'll find out when I try a flight later on!

I called MS/Xbox help and was guided to make sure Xbox App for PC was installed and updated, and sign into it.  Once I did that I was able to open MSFS again.

Is there a way to reinstall the patch ?

Good news from me anyway. When I started up the PC and FS20 this morning and again later on all the patching seemed to have finished. Must have been the magic beans I left by the computer overnight!

Everything seems to be working (with the caveat about any unfixed or new issues) and at least I'm up flying again.

You would probably have to uninstall the game, remove all the files and start from scratch?

Afraid of this :) must be an option for the future.

I have the only problem with the patch i'm not able to enter general tab in options menu, when i try game is ctd. Rest of all fine even the performance.

I think something went wrong during the installation even i reverted back all the mods.

Anyone knows a way to reinstall the game without download the 90gb? Game pass version by the way.

Has anyone else noticed that they also seem to have broken the water effects with the new patch?

There are threads about this showing up on the official forums and I saw this myself just flying above a lake at 3000 feet. The rippling effect of the water is completely gone.

If you reinstall the game, you'll come back to the current version.

Yeah i know,  i have a problem now with the patch and if not find another solution, it is the only way for a working patch i'm afraid.

Very bad PR action releasing this poorly tested patch then keeping quiet about this reaction.  Or hopefully they have and I haven't read about it yet.  Somehow, I think they somehow took work off the CPU and gave it to the GPU because overall performance is similar, but my CPU is nearly gone to sleep and the GPU is more easily maxed.  9900K hyperthreaded, 4.8Ghz, and running a chilly 41C w/ 11-17% utilization.  I'd like them to make that bad boy earn his keep again!  Geez what a waste!  I'd like sliders to increase visual quality by working that 9900K a little better and let me decide where to compromise.

ADDENDUM:  well, just TO from KSBA>KPSP and IQ is quite good, again, but again just take a gander at CPU utilization both in Process Lasso and corroborated by RTSS and the low CPU temperature considering it's running at 4.8Ghz/1.21v on air, and w/ HT enabled.   And the 18% CPU I think is RTSS's average, and oftimes it will only show 11-12% post patch 2.   About double or more that post patch 1.
