September 17, 20205 yr No mod fixes here at all. Totally vanilla other than a few orbx addons. Patch totally hosed up everything. I can't even reinstall. When I try it just says can't access content servers. I'm going to try and call these fools and see if they can figure out what they did to my sim. Ridiculous. Priority Class>Current> Above Normal (I've tried High but I seem get too much Autogen popping when I do that) And I unselect Windows dynamic thread priority boost enabled in Priority Class current as well
September 17, 20205 yr The only thing strange about this update is every time i load the sim now i get a screen “checking for updates.” Other than that, much better overall. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

Explain how nobody tested a take off with the A320 before the patch. Roll back the patch please so I can enjoy the sim again which I paid $120 for I disagree. Don't roll back mine. This patch is fantastic on my side.

My fifth core peak at 100% almost all the time now after the patch, not the first core as before the patch, I wonder if that is related to the patch note "Tweaked CPU thread priorities to reduce interruptions in frame critical threads." ? My game also runs much smoother now. I monitor logical cores separately with MSI Afterburner and before, in certain situations (such as JFK landing challenge or in any airliner when rotating the view 90°), I had 100% spikes on core 8 and sometimes on all of them. This doesn't happen anymore: now core 8 is still the most taxed but it gets to 70-80%. 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber

When I tried the game today, all my cores were normal again, maybe there was something in the background in Windows that caused one of my core to peak, my game runs incredibly smooth now, I can do fast rolls at low altitude with Extra 330 without any stutter at all, fantastic. Now trying again but it seems any big file is causing issues that it needs multiple attempts to grab it. I wonder if it is an issue particular to the Steam version, even though the core update files for either version are coming from MS/Asobo? Edited September 17, 20205 yr by Elvensmith

Mine took 32 minutes from beginning of download to end of installation of the 15.69 GB update. I had seen that someone else recommended enabling Window Auto-tuning if it is not already, by running this from the *Administrator level* command prompt: netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal Mine was already enabled (can be verified with the Admin. lvl. command prompt: netsh interface tcp show global), and both my download and installation of the 15.69 GB update went very, very smoothly. Then again, I have installed no "fixes" or any other similar such file modifications. September 17, 20205 yr Brilliant! Fog at KSFO when I took off. Winds aloft. FPS locked at 30 (4K) and never dipped... I was routinely getting nosedives into teens before, over complex scenery.
