If you look at the fuel flow gauge just below the glare shield (top left number), you'll see the fuel flow is working correctly. I'm not familiar with the FT-101A fuel computer, but if you turn the large knob two clicks counterclockwise, it will show the actual fuel flow. You are right. There is manual for FT-101A, but it doesn't shed much light frankly Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F). September 20, 20205 yr I did some digging, and it's not an FT-101A (as listed in the POH) it's a Shadin 912041T. No wonder the T-101A manual didn't make any sense.

You are real pilot with the real Mooney experience and your opinion has significant impact on the product quality evaluation. I actually put a disclaimer at the top of this thread that I didn't fly "R" model only "J" which close, but not quite. My first impressions were "not bad". Also as it was pointed out to me, in my evaluation of Carenado model I used FT-101 instead of the "top" gauges. I'm no familiar with FT-101A, I more familiar with JPI EDM gauges which are note featured in this model. If I look at the top gauges the number comes up close to performance tables actually. P.S. All my flights I did in "J" model were from the right seat using manual elevator trim wheel because electric trim was not hooked up on copilot yoke. Money's manual trim wheel is small, squeezed between two seats, and with very awkward access. It also took a lot spinning to trim comparing with Pipers, Cessna and Beechcraft . "J" model had cowl flaps ("R" doesn't have), and also there were no airbrakes. Gliding speed in "J" model was 100mph. Since it was 1977 model speed gauge was in mph instead of kts. . I don't own any of their planes yet (probably will get one eventually), but it seems like a lot of the bug reports happen in the default aircraft (not making excuses for them, just trying to understand which ones can maybe be fixed by Asobo). I get so many bugs just flying the default aircraft still, even after the last patch. Good point... The AP NAV tracking "plus/minus 10 degrees" has been reported to Carenado, but the GNS530 issues are Asobo's to fix, as best I can tell. For now, best to use the AP in HDG mode, or hand fly the airplane 🙂 Bert

Your statement VERY IMPORTANT for the people who have spent money and for the people who will spend money buying Carenado Mooney M20R!
September 20, 20205 yr Commercial Member So, with the recent additions to this thread, sorting out the fuel flow confusion, the M20R seems like a rather decent product? If so, maybe I will ... buy it... Mario Donick .:. vFlyteAir

My copilot started yammering on the radio requesting pushback, so While the tug was getting into position, I pushed the throttle forward, and started my taxi. No push back needed for me, no sir. I was just about to turn right on the taxiway to the active runway, and I slowed down a few seconds to check something when BAM! Pushback tug in front of me locked in and pushing me back. Chased me down he did, nobody leaves this joint without a pushback! you know you can cancel the pushback?

September 20, 20205 yr Ha I wouldn't call it a great system...there's a lot more work involved imo. September 20, 20205 yr Could anyone less word not allowed than myself shed some light as to which Ovation model exactly this Carenado offering is? I seem to remember that there’s Ovation II and III with different engine specs and avionics (could be wrong though). I guess the Carenado version in MSFS has a 280hp max 2500rpm engine, correct? (currently not at my computer) Edit: is it the one described by AOPA here? https://www.aopa.org/go-fly/aircraft-and-ownership/aircraft-fact-sheets/mooney-ovation Edited September 20, 20205 yr by flavik77 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

In most aircraft the tail number can be easily changed by editing two lines in the aircraft, cfg file. Save. Done! Less than 30 seconds and no confusion.
