September 20, 20205 yr Has anyone narrowed down the blank avionics problem? I was thinking it may be one of the user mods that is causing the blackouts. Mine is totally hit or miss and if it has power it will go off in a matter of minutes. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

In most aircraft the tail number can be easily changed by editing two lines in the aircraft, cfg file. Save. Done! Less than 30 seconds and no confusion. Nope. I wish it was true, but, all that is for the default aircraft, not those with hidden files like the M20R. The short version is that until someone finds a method to modify the aircraft.cfg file, which is hidden from users, we live with what we have. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

I have steam installation with the C152 mod. The only "issue" I have is the trim sensitivity, and since the patch all airplanes are too sensitive, hope FS/Asobo release a hotfix for that.

I think I might clean out my Community Folder and see if I can get the avionics to light up. thanks. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
September 20, 20205 yr I flew around 2 hours yesterday without any problems. and today it looks totally different 😄 after takeoff the Garmin went off, it wasn’t possible to switch it on and the plane pulled the left rudder so hard that it was no longer fun in 3 knots of wind. I have no idea what that was, msfs or Carenado. Let's see if it works again later 😉

Hey Frank....I haven't found it....but did some digging and while I agree with the other's sentiments here for right now...the new format "seems" cludgy right now...but maybe its just a case of us tinkerer's getting used to a new format (again), and then have some smart folks create little mods to create jsons and such to help us out. (some already have and I've seen them, just not completely up to speed on them just yet) Until then....I'm only "tinkering" with paints....learning what I can, and when we get some kits and other wisdom, I'll move ahead. 1 hour ago, clements said: You don't need the original aircraft.cfg. MSFS introduces a great system for adding variations. There is a good thread about it over at fsdeveloper.com. You can find it here. Hey Clements, I've been there in my quest for knowledge, and I really enjoy all the talent and smart folks over there freely sharing their knowledge. I haven't jumped into any conversations there yet (still a super-lurker there), but will when I have something intelligent to add. 😉 (that may be a while, lol) Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here

September 20, 20205 yr Might also be time for @sd_flyer to apologize for bashing Carenado, not to even mention other users on here who were actually looking at the fuel flow gauge right in front of their noses...
September 20, 20205 yr 2 hours ago, fppilot said: Is the 10° increment unique to this aircraft? Somewhat. It looks like it is an MSFS bug that is unique to this plane in the way it appears. My theory is that Carenado is using HDG to control tracking the NAV. Basically the NAV says track 310... if you drift left it will set HDG to 312 until you are back on course. Then it locks HDG on 310. Until it drifts. If you have the 10 degree HDG bug bug, when it goes to select 312 it jumps to 320. Same for the other direction. So it is incapable of a smooth track. I may be completely wrong, but it makes sense to me. If that is the case, it is an MSFS issue that is the root of the problem and a Carenado issue in how they track NAV. Does anyone who does NOT have the 10 degree HDG issue have the plane? Can you confirm if NAV has the 10 degree issue or not? Could help troubleshooting. EddieKABQ
