I don't need to read statements by anyone to understand why working with MSFS is different from other sims. 3PDs can no longer use hacks like with other sims. That means they need an actual SDK. Unlike in other sims where most core functions were open. That doesn't mean that other sims had a better SDK. They are causing more issues than they are solving at this moment When P3D started it was garbage 10 year ago, we are not even at 2 months....What p3d did in 10 years is marginal improvement, forced people to spend thousand of $ to fix default or getting at acceptable level, countless draw back was implemented forced developer to works again on each patch\update. This product is miles ahead of either of those products in terms of both complexity and the need to incorporate realistic client server connections to be able to have real time access to 2 petabytes of scenery data. .. Miles ahead? Not yet! That still has to be proved over time (how long will it take?). I also think that MSFS has a great potential. But if development on all three sims is stopped now I would definitely not stick to MSFS. My wishes for the world of serious flight simulators: I hope that MS doesn't run out of budget before the sim is usable for a serious simmer. I hope that LM will continue development also for us private users. I hope that LR can survive. Competition is always good. Karl i9-9900K@5,0 | 32GB 3200 | 2080TI | 4K 55" | MSFS | P3D V5

Au contraire-for me it's exactly the focus required for their predicted primary user base, Xbox users. And the holidays are upon us. ATC, flight planning refinements, a robust SDK for 3PD planeware primarily, is already well known in the flight sim development world. They just can't do everything all at once is my sense. They need a solid scenery and atmosphere engine that can work very well on both platforms, w/ realistic bandwidths and server capacity to consider. DX12 is arguably a critical piece so makes perfect sense to get that implemented soon and well because it will be foundational for performance for the core sim and 3PD content as well. They seem more focused on PR and damaged control via PR than actually provide fixes and what we all want for a better flight simulator. Cheers, Rob. Agree 100% In their latest video interview they totally skipped the bugs question just to divert the discussion on cosmetic stuff belonging to a hypothetical far future. Modders did more in 10 days then Asobo in 5 years of silly PR.

But when you spent a lot you can make it look very differently.... MSFS scenery looks very good. Some issues here and there but those will be fixed. That costs a lot less than the thousands of euros I have spent on P3D... But for me I want to fly complex jetliners + good looking scenery ... I use Prosim and it will be compatible with MSFS very soon as their cockpit suite is running outside MSFS...
