Folks folks folks, please don't take this personal. Let people like me b*ch about the game not being near finished.

I am glad that the sim works out for you and I wasn't planning on leaving Avsim.

I was considering reinstalling XP11 the IFR training on PilotEdge. Do you use any OrbX sceneries by any chance? Tempted to take the hit and buy all the US West ones for it. Will likely get a lot of use out of them the next three or four months before FS2020 is in a better place 🙂

I have not used any of the Orbx Scenery yet.  I was tempted to because I do like Washington state but I feel like in airliners I generally fly further then that (I enjoy a lot of transcontinental flights out of PHL).  I do know people import their own Orthos and stuff into X-Plane and enjoy that I have not built up the will-power to do so yet but if you do give it a go I would love to hear how it goes for you.  My current plans are MSFS for a lot of the VFR stuff and X-Plane for the heavy aircraft and learning the G1000 better.  My skills are severely lacking in a lot of areas just because I been out of it so long.  I was big into XP 10 and had a lot of cool bush scenery things in Alaska but a lot of those didn't come over to XP11 sadly 😞

I know one of the YouTuber's I watch (and posted in a pined topic here) Just did a flight using PilotEdge maybe when I am more competent I will check it out.  Have you been a regular user of it?

Did you watch the Q&A, if not go watch it on youtube and perhaps ask yourself if you might be jumping the gun.

Yeah I'm very regular on P3D - it's awesome albeit it a bit pricy. For me it's worth the money but I know everyone's different :) They have exceptional training materials and a fantastic discord community too if you're at all interested!

Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of bugs in the a320.  However it does seem like some of the things that are upsetting you (although it’s hard to be sure with just a text description) aren’t bugs, but actual Airbus behavior.  The autothrottle will try to kill you if you don’t have the thrust lever on CL, since any lower setting limits the ceiling thrust of the a/t.  And if you get too slow on approach, the Airbus computer will go into alpha floor protection and go to full toga thrust.  Both things are modeled in the sim.  Also it’s pretty important that before flight you set the trim to the correct setting for your center of gravity in the initial weight and balance page.

Now I'm going to have that song inside my head every time one of these threads pops up. 😀

BTW, Aside from Stairway to Heaven, Hotel California is the second greatest rock & roll song ever created.

To the original post, you'll be back, cause you can never leave. This hobby is an addiction.

There are plenty of hate threads going already, go post there instead. Perhaps they should all be merged because lets be honest, there is no productive discussion in them anyway.

Agree, if any moderator is around I am perfectly fine with that.

If I were a moderator, la la la la la la la

I would lock this thread, if I were a moderatorrrrrrr.

I wholeheartedly support having one thread for that. Preferably titled "The Great Big Rant and Rage Thread"
