I've got word from Microsoft the update has been released yesterday night.

Hope to be flying a certain turboprop at this CYVR scenery at some point!
Both are on my ever-growing MSFS wishlist.

We too are hoping that this too shall happen, but it depends on how quickly Asobo will make the needed requirements for the SDK available so that we can get to work...but it very likely will be a long road ahead.

Rome was not built in a day, so we'll wait.

Minor issue.... If I start MSFS at CYVR default runway 26L, I actually get placed on runway 13.

Little coding error somewhere?

Yes, you are right, it's fixed in the Live Update now.

I hope so too, I cannot wait to fly the Q400 in MSFS.  Unless you are part of the "In Crowd" like Carenado, Orbx, Aerosoft and Milviz we are all going to have to wait a while.

I rather buy from developers directly.  Asobo/MS already got my money for the platform, and it is sad to say but the Microsoft Store support is atrocious to say the least.

I made a purchase for a Carenado product (from the MSFS store) for  which I never got the download link, emailed the developer for assistance and he advised that anything purchased through the MS Store will have to be dealt with through the FS 2020 support system.

Contacted MS FS support via email and it took them eight days for them to respond, only for them to tell me its not their problem either and I should direct my issue to the Microsoft store support.

I spoke to five different people who were clueless as to how to fix the issue, and was eventually given the tech support number for xbox gaming.  Called Xbox tech support and their telephone systems are being upgraded so they were not available for phone support.

Called the bank and reversed the order.

I am all for supporting other developers if they have a product that I am interested in, but its very likely I would not make that mistake again for that developers products or any other if having to go through the MS Store.  Possible it was just a stroke of bad luck, but service is key and in this case it was lacking from all points of contact.

Anyway this is about an update for a well anticipated airport so I'll have to check it out.

Thanks @virtuali

I'd go on the official MSFS forums and make a big stink about the circular run-around they gave you.

One other person did this and eventually got their issue fixed, when the game CTDed during the process of buying content on the Marketplace.  It was Asobo that had to fix it.  When do you a purchase on the in-sim Marketplace you are buying 'Flight Sim Credits' which only Asobo has insight into where they go after that.  No Microsoft support person has any insight into what is happening.  It's total BS given how tiny Asobo is and ill-equipped to deal with inquiries about Marketplace issues from 1,000,000 people who have bought the game.  There is also no 'account balance' page where you can go to view what happens with your 'Flight Sim Credits' in the event of an issue, or if you even want to see what you have purchased in the past.  Like so many other things in the game, it's a mere shell of what it should be that was clearly thrown together in 2 seconds with 0 thought of what was required to handle the number of people that would be using it.

That’s because it’s downloaded from within the sim itself, on the in-sim marketplace.
The same way you get the free Japan content.

😃

Today i did a first flight to the Updated CYVR on RW 26R Ils and all went pretty well - good work !

I allso did one on RW 8R, on that i get on ILS around 300-400 feet before the runway a MSFS Error but this looks like a MSFS Issue because i have this too with the orginal in Game Airport, pretty shure about that.

regards 😉

Thanks for the review of CYVR, mrfilbert!

Your reviews are very informative.

Bought this airport yesterday and am enjoying it heaps.

Did a short flight from the default CYYJ to FSDT CYVR in the Jabiru.

CVYR is finally out in the marketplace!  Just got it and it's quite good!  Would give it 4.5 stars out of 5.  I was so sick of using the default airport (despite the default CYVR being better than some other autogenerated default airports in other cities).

Now let's seem if FSimStudio's CYVR can beat this.  Maybe FSimStudio's CVYR will be a 5 out of 5.

A note for the developer, the trees shown on the shore on the south, and west side of the field are not accurate. There are no trees like that in real life. Some shrubbery, but nothing like that.
