October 30, 20205 yr For those who are unhappy about the product, can't you simply ask for a refund? I've heard of people getting one easily, at least on Steam. So far, I personally have not had to deal with the serious issues I read about on this forum, I guess I'm lucky and I keep my fingers crossed. But if you strongly feel that MSFS should have been released in August 2021 instead of August 2020, why not ask a refund and check on it again in... August 2021? No need to suffer through this, there are alternatives!

The latest problems are clearly embarrassing for the company? That is as clear as mud. 10's of thousands of users are quite happy! You can ignore them. They have every right to moan and groan as i have been doing before this update. Whats the point in challenging someone who has a valid reason to be upset? Do you think people spend their hard earned money on stuff that doesnt work and be happy go lucky about it ? I could sit back and gloat that this update has finally fixed a whole lot of my visual issues and i have yet to have a CTD but that would be 110% unfair to the people that have VALID ISSUES AND COMPLAINTS. Sit back.. try to respond with a possible solution instead of aggravating the people with issues. They want to enjoy the sim as well and cant. We are at the 5th patch and in every single iteration something is broken.. thats not right however many times you want to repeat that its ok. True, but is Avsim the correct forum to notify Asobo? or is it just a forum to voice ISSUES AND COMPLAINTS? Will these, on Avsim, actually be heard by the developers? Robin "Onward & Upward" ... October 30, 20205 yr The developers repeatedly say they follow very closely avsims forums. I would venture to say most people Like myself also have MSFS2020 forum accounts and have posted there as well. Just to be clear, I have had no issues since the initial installation. I have logged dozens of hours in the TBM without problems and this aircraft has performed well as demonstrated in my videos. I enjoy this hobby as much as I do with real world flying. I try my best to post rational, accurate and meaningful comments. My latest post in this topic was made in consideration of those individuals who are having serious issues with the sim. The most serious flight simulator enthusiasts are members of this community and it is important that issues are heard from as many people as possible to a significant degree for Asobo to evaluate. Really?> The most serious flight simulator enthusiasts are members of this community? How on earth can you, with any conviction, assume that? There are, I assume you are aware, quite a few of other communities with many serious FS enthusiasts discussing MSFS, without the, dare I say it.. drama! While Avsim is a well supported community, so are the many others, with their ever expanding MSFS freeware libraries & MSFS reviews. So, your comment that the most serious simmers are here, could be a bit, sarcastic or tongue in cheek, hardly proven as factual. Asobo, obviously, when they look at the forums, if they look, obviously will look at all at there, if they are not too busy watching their own Zendesk. I'm the guy standing next to you as you call out your mechanic. Personally, I think you're nuts because I know you've never rebuilt an automatic transmission and for you to act as if absolutely anyone, including you, could do better is bordering on insanity. So... I say... put up, or shut up. There's a reasonable limit to criticism, and simply insulting the developer's skills, that's beyond reasonable. If you want to point out a software deficiency, fine. Do it politely, not with scorn and derision towards those who have worked hard to bring said software to existence. Not a single person who has purchased this sim has purchased the right to treat any or all of the Asobo develolpers with ridicule, derision, insult, etc. That isn't part of the EULA at all. Nor is it proper behavior. Edited October 30, 20205 yr by WarpD Ed Wilson Mindstar AviationMy Playland - I69
October 30, 20205 yr Everyone in France worked normaly until yesterday. Now we all have to do home-office as much as we can, so the troubles with delayed updates will begin right now...
October 30, 20205 yr Well said, Ed. And perfectly too. Far too many have used this platform to rant at a company that is doing quite amazing stuff for us and our hobby!! Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...

Absolutely. My company was already WFH-friendly (most folks did it a day or two a week) and we had a number of remote employees. But we recently had a company-wide survey from management getting peoples' feelings about the WFH situation and whether they'd like to continue with it when things are back to "normal", whenever and whatever that ends up being. Something like 90% of folks said they have found themselves more productive and most plan to WFH more than they did prior. A lot of companies are starting to realize that they could have a happier workforce and save money on physical space if they get past the 20th century "if you're not in the office you're not working" mentality. Next maybe they'll start to learn that 32-36 hour workweeks increase employee satisfaction with minimal hit to productivity.

Most of those "add-ons" are soccer stadiums and other "landmarks" ripped from Google Maps. Almost all of the best scenery add-ons for MSFS are payware.

I didn’t say the most serious flight simulator enthusiasts only visit this forum. Obviously, other forums have their share of serious hardcore people. And by serious with conviction I’m referring to people who have been in this hobby for numerous years/decades and who may be for example developers or modellers, or real world pilots or people who enjoy making every part of a simulated flight as authentic as possible. Yes, these individuals are serious. Without a doubt, this forum has a share of the most serious flight simulation people who express valid concerns. Cheers and blue skies!
