Quite sad but possible explanation of poor Asobo's quality

If you're talking about my response that was not a rebuttal.  I'm with @Wobbie on this one, but since my sarcasm is apparently too subtle for this thread I'll make it more clear:

Avsim is great, but it also has some major flaws.  One of them is a mile-wide streak of exceptionalism where a body of users refuse to believe that any other discussion site is anything close to as good as this one, and that they're all populated by nothing but unskilled kids and superficial screenshotters.  Your sneering comments about pictures of sunsets being the primary content at "other places" is a prime example of that, and I was demonstrating that every statement you made was easily refuted by simply visiting those sites with an open mind.

It's as though people never actually go elsewhere but just regurgitate the group-think that that body of users here maintain.  And it's detrimental to this site and gives it a bad name elsewhere.   The arrogance should be toned down a notch.  Or ten.

It that more clear?

(And if, given my contributions here, you want to say that my only purpose on Avsim is to get threads locked as well, well... that's not even worth a response.)

Wow, I stand by you on this, well said, and a great exp[anation.

(lol, Irony not missed 😉

Unfortunately for your stance, I stated it and I'm not working for Asobo and my skills are not in question.

I'm the guy standing next to you as you call out your mechanic.  Personally, I think you're nuts because I know you've never rebuilt an automatic transmission and for you to act as if absolutely anyone, including you, could do better is bordering on insanity.

So... I say... put up, or shut up.  There's a reasonable limit to criticism, and simply insulting the developer's skills, that's beyond reasonable.  If you want to point out a software deficiency,  fine.  Do it politely, not with scorn and derision towards those who have worked hard to bring said software to existence. Not a single person who has purchased this sim has purchased the right to treat any or all of the Asobo develolpers with ridicule, derision, insult, etc.  That isn't part of the EULA at all.  Nor is it proper behavior.

Totally agree, give asobo the respect they deserve, they are not perfect and neither are we,there is a fair bit of immaturity in some posts and it achieves nothing just make you look like a tool, without Microsoft and asobo we would still be on our old versions, yes there are issues and that's what Zendesk is for,I'm pretty happy with it and I sent a thanks to the team and Jorge actually replied, that's never happened to me before and shows the passion these guys have, keep providing positive feedback and cut they guys some slack,

I do understand the frustration the bugs are causing some but I think we should be careful with how we express them.

Of course the whole world is under a bit of stress at the moment but France has had two very gruesome terror attacks in the past week or so as well.

Maybe we can factor that into our calculus a little?

Everyone on the planet is having to cope with the same situation, so there's no reason why we should give Asobo a free pass on not doing their best in spite of the circumstances, because that's what approximately 7.5 Billion other people around the world are having to do, and frequently for a lot less remuneration.

“Doing their best” is very subjective. I think they’re bending over backwards to please a very annoying and unreasonably demanding sim community. They’re releasing updates to correct these glitches. Here’s my thinking- some people are less interested in flying and more inclined to neat pick the simulator’s issues.  Do you really think it’s easy to create a software that accurately represent a dynamic world down to the knob of door? Impressive what they’ve done thus far.

Just fly!!!!

Funny. Hard to nitpick when its crashing every time while loading. I'd love to 'Just fly!!!!'. But expecting a piece of software to run is just being picky I guess. Lol

@Huascar

I believe in politeness, but appreciate it as well.

I’d love to “just fly” however, my Sim crashes at the the New Scenery screen. If you have anything more helpful, I’ll be more appreciative.

A ridiculous thread/premise that Asobo is so upset about a lockdown that now they are incapable of performing up to snuff.   six pages and counting.

No, no... that was the OP.  The rest of the thread is about insulting Asobo's skills, professionalism, knowledge, etc.

Insulting their professionalism? No. Challenging it? Absolutely.

I disagree. We are clearly far better off now compared to when it was first released. Perhaps you would be better off going back to what ever fs you were using before for a year and then check back to see if things are more to your liking.

I agree, far better... and more immersive. especially night flying.

Since i cant go past a simple line of code without pulling my hair out it will be disrespectful of me to say that

“Asobo don’t know what they are doing “

”they have no idea what a plane is supposed to act like”

“This is a game ill be back when things get fixed “ etc

people always forget the last FIASCO when ever a new version comes out and also forgot that till this day there has not been any home use simulator that had been released free of bugs/problems that even after years of patching by someone else still not working. You cant act like your current simulator is the best there is because there’s no other options and you are afraid that the new release becomes successful and you have to spend money again on every single addon all over again (like we had been doing)

When you tell the mechanic he doesn’t know what he’s doing im assuming you are better than him or else you should be careful with what you said .

I and others Had been seeing this wave of experts with every new release of MSFS ...

Thats it!

the whole comparison lags behind in real market economy,
Asobo should have sold it as a finished product without any further support, to each his own thing whether he buys it or not.
i can't hear it anymore the cloud is to sharp, the wind is coming from the wrong side...

how much longer should they listen to this ****?

You should be aware that Asobo are the developers & did not sell it at all. Microsoft sells it!

So, blaming Asobo for selling it as a finished product, without any further support, is a bit confusing. You are aware of the support updates that have been released?
