November 26, 20214 yr Is there an AI Online option for traffic? I put in AIG and I only have an AI Offline option. It's either 'AI Offline' or 'Off' on my setup.
November 27, 20214 yr If I understood correctly, thanks to AIG, now we can have good AI in MSFS. How is performance affected? I remember that, from FS9 up to P3D4 (I never used v5), it was my biggest FPS killer. Best regards,Luis Hernández Main rig: self built, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D (with SMT off and CO -50 mV), 2x16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, Nvidia RTX 5060Ti 16GB, 256 GB M.2 SSD (OS+apps) + 2x1 TB SATA III SSD (sims) + 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD (storage), ID-Cooling SE-224-XTS air cooler, Viewsonic VX2458-MHD 1920x1080@120-144 Hz (G-sync compatible), Windows 11. Running P3D v5.4 (with v4.5 scenery objects as an additional library, just in case), FSX-SE, MSFS2020, MSFS2024 and even FS9! Lossless Scaling for all my sims. What a godsend...Mobile rig: ASUS Zenbook UM425QA (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H APU @3.2 GHz and boost disabled, 1 TB M.2 SSD, 16 GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro). Running FS9 there .VKB Gladiator NXT Premium Left + GNX THQ as primary controllers. Xbox Series X|S wireless controller as standby/mobile.

I remember that, from FS9 up to P3D4 (I never used v5), it was my biggest FPS killer. I’ve got no noticeable performance hit and that’s with a full Sydney Airport YSSY. Also just info for others who might use Sydney as a benchmark, if you have Orbx cityscape installed, that’s the performance killer in that region. Dont think they used any LODs for their models in Cityscape Sydney… according to dev mode LOD checker. Rtx2080super, i79700k, 32gbram @2k ultra settings.
November 27, 20214 yr It’s actually incredible how minimal the FPS impact is. I always worried that once we had extensive AI available the great FPS I’ve gotten used to in MSFS would deteriorate like in P3D but that is certainly not the case for me. Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU
November 27, 20214 yr Sure the fps hit is minimal, but again, people are fixated by fps. It’s the stutters and inconsistent frame times that you should worry about, and I’ve noticed that the more airlines you have added, the greater probability you have of getting stutters.
November 27, 20214 yr In P3D I set my AI to 50%, with 401 BGL flightplans (about 200 MB worth). Do you all mean that a similar amount of airline traffic in MSFS will not have such a big impact? November 27, 20214 yr A32X models have been updated to support jetways and services. Boot up AIM to get the updates.

I remember that, from FS9 up to P3D4 (I never used v5), it was my biggest FPS killer. I think it depends on your hardware. As far as I understand the traffic mainly affects the CPU load. If you are already limited by your CPU you will notice an FPS hit. If the GPU is your limiting factor you shouldn't notice much FPS loss by traffic. I have a rather old 8700K and I lose around 25 % of my FPS at busy airports like JFK with AIG set to 100% (compared to traffic off) - which still is quite ok, given the amount of aircraft that is injected.
November 27, 20214 yr I just loaded up new copy of Charlotte-Douglas airport. Too many American airliners to count, coming and going. Notable no-shows: Blue Streak and Envoy. Does anybody know what they are? Where to get them?

If there aren't models yet for an airline they won't show up even if the airline is installed.
December 3, 20214 yr we are currently investigating issues with the lights and services, as soon as we have a fix or a workaround AIM will inform you about that on startup 🙂
December 3, 20214 yr the issue with the services was identified and we will release a fix with the next AIM update. It was caused by a missing key/value inside the fltsim-sections. ASOBO is informed about it as well.
