A rather naive way to look on the fact that MS/Asobo continues to show stuff in their preview trailers that are simply not in the sim, no? People make mistakes, yes, but this is not a "mistake" and even worse, making the same mistake over and over again is not acceptable but plain embarassing, especially when customers pointed to the mistake several times in a row... Please stop treating MS/Asobo like a bunch of flight sim enthusiasts trying to provide us with the best they can. Those days are over, it is a normal multi-million dollar business and they should finally start acting like this... April 14, 20215 yr I wish they would release a map with the spots covered in water masks tho, like they told few Q&A before. Chock 1.1: "The only thing that whines louder than a jet engine is a flight simmer."

For starters, they could at least add the watermasks shown in the trailers, like any other company would do for stuff they show in their advertisments... This looks like a deliberate move, and I hope it won't take months before 'watermasks in their servers take time to reach us'
April 27, 20215 yr Is there any idea how much of the Earth's water masks have been corrected by the devs as of now? 10%, 50%? I haven't played this sim in months due to lack of tropical masks and I will not play it until they fix it all or at least most of it.

We don‘t have any official numbers or a map showing water masks or something like that but I‘d say it‘s way below 10%, actually below 1%. The thing is they have to add them manually which takes time. Another obstacle is that Bing Maps‘ coverage of quality imagery of coastal waters is rather limited. But there are definitely many more than a few months ago. There was a major update at some point. All (or at least most of) the water masks shown in the various official trailers should be in by now. The latest update introduced some nice ones in France as well.
