FlyByWire A32NX 0.5.0 Stable Released!

Agree. The custom FBW version into the official installer would be great.  Its very usable and any bugs are easy to workaround. If aircraft AP is not behaving as required, its simple to takeover manually, or adjust the AP with a different mode. What I do notice is the FD is often centered even though its in a bank whether the HDG is changed or its in NAV mode.   Most times it still follows instructions though. Outstanding work and much appreciated!

The problems with the FD are the main reason we are holding it back!

Does the experimental custom fly-by-wire dev version include the latest additions to the stable version (like simbrief integration)?

After several flights with the custom fly-by-wire version there is no way back to the default for me. I never had issues, so I would also support that to be optionally included in the installer.

Great news, FBW team! Will download and try immediately. Does the cfbw version include the stable 0.5.0 changes and fixes?

As always I try to keep the fbw branch up to date with the master, usually at least once a day.

Genius ! So it isn't really clear for me:

Is the latest flight model merged in the latest stable or dev version ? Or it isn't merged yet at all?

Thanks

I think what meant here is to add the `fbw` branch generated zip file onto the installer as an extra button to download this branch

Great news, and really appeciate all the work you guys are putting in for the good of the community.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung  NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive

party pooper here, just trying a short EDDM-LOWI hop and when engaging AP after takeoff the stable mod started to turn (and sink) to the right, off course. AP off/on did not help. Only SEC1 off helped, right now low and slow inbound RTT for LOC26 approach...

EDIT had on top a CTD outbound RTT 😞. So I downloaded the current cfbw version to do the same flight again. Good news: AP works fine, captured route smoothly, currently low and slow inbound TULSI...

Wonderful news!

Can someone please explain how the Simbrief integration works? What do I have to do with the exportet flightplan file? How do I import in into the A320nx systems?

After you create a flight plan using Simbrief do not export it just close Simbrief. Load the FBW A32nx, At the MCDU click MCDU MENU, OPTIONS, AOC, SIMBRIEF, enter your Simbrief login username, click return. Back at the MCDU click INIT, then INIT REQUEST, you flight plan will load.

Hi,

Anyone else experiencing issue with the left wiper in release 0.5.0? As soon as I turn on the battery the wiper starts functioning although the switch is in the 'off' position. I can not manipulate either of the wiper switches on the overhead.

Nico

Out of curiosity, do you use Navigraph?

Not always but I read in their fourms that sometimes CTDs are happening but didn't experience much CTDs to be fair

Thanks so much.

I had my first CTD since launch last night...  and it was right after I installed Navigraph

I'm sure that previous stable releases, unlike the dev versions, have allowed me to continue using alternative Neo liveries that I've installed.

However, 0.5.0 seems to have maintained the same manifest.json file meaning that I'm now only able to see the FBW ones.

Anyone else seeing the same ?
