But a YTber with XXX number of followers, that knows nothing about the airplane (one did not even know how to properly start the sim) gets a free copy to test and share. LOL! That's why I haven't bothered watching most of the streaming videos etc for this thing. Can't be doing with seeing some plonker who doesn't even know where the door handle is on a PA28 (and I'm not joking, there genuinely was one preview video of this which does that) 'demonstrating' how it flies it to us. 🤣 Edited March 3, 20215 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

You'd be doing well to get a PA28 up on two wheels, whereas you can definitely do that in a Cessna with an over-zealous turn. 😮 Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
March 3, 20215 yr I think people who train in a low wing Piper to get their PPL, swear by low wings especially Pipers. I got trained on the high wing Cessna 172SP, 180HP and later flown 182s a little bit on the 152 (A tad too light) and totally comfortable with high wings and Cessna. But I do get nervous on the Pipers.. Especially since there is no door on the left side. I was like WTH the first time... I did not get comfortable on the Pipers at all. Single or Multi Engine.. I just went through the grind. 🙂 Later on I flew the 6 seater Piper Seneca trying to get my Multi IFR.... and then flew some Angel Wings trips. That was the biggest aircraft I have flown. This actually pretty common. People usually really root to their initial trainers. I was seriously terrified flying 152 after Archer LOL I also seen plenty of folks who after getting their certificate in Cessna 172 and trying PA28 for the first time call it laggy as bus! That's certainly one of the reasons why companies make trainer aeroplanes; it helps to promote brand loyalty. When Piper first produced the PA28, they set up a scheme where anyone could get a trial lesson in a PA28 for five dollars at any Piper aeroplane dealership. Of course it also helped that the PA28 was cheaper to buy than the Cessna 172 and the PA24 was cheaper than a Bonanza, but they knew that if people trained on a Piper, they were more likely to buy a PA28 or a PA24 or recommend that their company bought one. Adobe did the same thing with Photoshop. They made a point of rarely going after students who they knew were using knock off copies of their software, because they knew that eventually those people would be the ones working at companies where they had to recommend which software their employer would purchase. That's pretty much how Photoshop became the industry standard for image editing. They'll never admit that lol, but it's true. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
March 3, 20215 yr Yup. Thats how Garmin became a de-facto standard GPS for airplanes too. They gave away their trainers in DVDs for like $15 (Cost of dvd + shipping) while Bendix king sued flight simmers for doing anything to copy their GPS. BTW..I still have a Bendix-King GPS addon for FS9 saved somewhere. My Precious 🙂 There is one Jet firm that doesn't allow their aircraft on the sim. I forget its name. They have oval windows. Gulfstream? Edited March 3, 20215 yr by Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

March 3, 20215 yr The only thing I flew up until commercial-multi was high-wing Cessnas. Not that I had anything against low wings, I just never trained where they were readily available. Now having flown both. I still love high wings for sightseeing...but give me a low wing any day, especially if it is retractable! And yes, although no longer required by the FAA for a commercial cert (and I understand their reasoning - I'm just not sure I agree with it), I would encourage anyone to get complex and high performance endorsements to round out your experience....and tailwheel! Anyway, the Arrow looks like it will be a really nice addition to the MSFS fleet. Chris
March 3, 20215 yr I haven't really been following the Arrow. What extra does it bring to the table at that price point over something like the Mooney or a modded Bonanza? Better flight modelling? More in-depth systems modelling?

March 3, 20215 yr I think the lack of Gulfstream is due to zealous IP protection. They are very protective of their brand name/image. You don’t see even manuals etc published online, even for the older stuff like my favorite biz jet the old G4 SP.
