What extra does it bring to the table at that price point over something like the Mooney or a modded Bonanza? Better flight modelling? More in-depth systems modelling? These are the big advantages I see: 3 different GPS configurations that you can switch between (a non-Asobo retro GPS100, GNS430, GNS530) Extra failure modes beyond the default in-sim failures: Vapor lock Oil consumption Spark plug fouling Fast battery drain with a battery recharge option (The stock sim supports battery drain as well, but this is likely a better version) State saving between uses of the aircraft Much more comprehensive manual/documentation It doesn't seem to be A2A-level, but some nice extra stuff. I've never owned a Just Flight product so can't comment on how the flight model might feel/ Edited March 3, 20215 yr by marsman2020 AMD 3950X | 64GB RAM | AMD 5700XT | CH Fighterstick / Pro Throttle / Pro Pedals
March 3, 20215 yr I just read the whole manual, it's a nice aircraft but almost $50? The Aerosoft CRJ will cost that... I am not sure, probably will wait for a sale. Cheers N.-

Anyway, the Arrow looks like it will be a really nice addition to the MSFS fleet. I concur, After my ASEL PPL I asked the school If I should start the IFR, they said, since you are a hobbyist and not seeking Airliner jobs, you should get your tailwheel endorsement and they had a 10 hr Tailwheel package sign off. So I took that on the Citabria. And they endorsed my log book at the end,. But I was not comfortable taking the Citarbia on my own still so I asked the owner (he is a CFI too) what I need to do..and he said, He doesn't care if I needed another 2 hours or another 30 hours, but I needed to demonstrate to him that I can do 3 consecutive landings at Ft. Worth Alliance airport (8K runway) on a gusty/Windy day, I land with the two wheels on both sides of the center line without crossing and then run the entire length in that position and then take off again. If I can do that, 3 consecutive times, he would let me fly either the Citabria or the American Decathlon on my own. It took me additional 18 hours on the tailwheel to do that. Flying the Cessna 172 with precision became easy peasy after that. Learning to to fly the Tailwheel right after getting my Single License at 70hrs, was learning to fly all over again. The Wind position, Its strength and gust was on my mind constantly.. Wind, became an obsession. Then I flew long distance.. on the 172, Flew with friends from Dallas to New Orleans for a 3 day Fishing trip on the Bayou, talking to ATC became comfortable, went through class Bravo Airspace (DFW and New Orleans ) to land at Lakefront airport (before the Katrina Disaster). Only after all that, I started my Multi Engine and IFR. I can never get 1st class Medical. My left eye cannot get better than 20/30 even with corrective lens. My right eye is 20/20. If I could, I would have left my cushy job at the big 5 and gone commercial/Airline. 🙂 Fun fun! 🙂 Edited March 3, 20215 yr by Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

Can't be doing with seeing some plonker who doesn't even know where the door handle is on a PA28 (and I'm not joking, there genuinely was one preview video of this which does that) 'demonstrating' how it flies it to us. 🤣 The Aus Flight Simmer stream seems popular because he is just a normal guy with something like a Recreational Licence or basic PPL in the real world who just has a bit of fun. Hence his comments are going to be things like "the flaps sound good" not "the fuel flow at 2350 rpm with 18.5 manifold is high by a gallon per hour" . In terms of the Arrow stream, the main reason to participate is there was a Just Flight representative there answering questions about the Arrow release.
March 3, 20215 yr No issue with videos like that, nobody has to be that nerdy with a video. I was talking about something completely different, where someone actually made a preview video for this thing having quite clearly never even looked at the product for a microsecond, prior to commencing a video and then when something puzzled them, they didn't even bother to either edit/re-record stuff. If this is the kind of 'influencer' who they chose to show off the features of the thing with an early freebie, then it doesn't really say much for the judgement of their marketing personnel. 🤣 Edited March 3, 20215 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

March 3, 20215 yr They popped their sale last weekend. Doing this often precedes a JF release by a week, since it increases traffic to their site in the run up to the release. Historically, their releases are very often on a Friday. This is what makes me think it will be Friday. Edited March 3, 20215 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
