January 20, 20215 yr I read somewhere the 26th and somewhere else the 28th. Either way, not long to wait. I have to admit that compared to the US, I was a little disappointed with what Microsoft gave us UK flyers in the original version, so am really looking forward to it. TBH, most of Europe could do with some work. Does anyone have any data of the MSFS user demographics? January 28, 20215 yr Looks like they managed to implement procedural churches. They said they’d try, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet as far as I know. As you can see in the comparison with Google Earth, the encircled churches are in the right position but look different, so they must have been procedurally generated. January 28, 20215 yr That would be worth more than the whole UK update to me, if those procedural churches are shown all over the world (and I see no reason why it should be limited to UK only). Great! Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

So many people throwing that MSFS 60% number around yet that includes all use to include Infrequently. What is infrequently, well that depends on the person who answered the question at the time. If you just consider the Most of the Time bars then MSFS use is only slightly higher than Xplane 11 or P3Dv4 and P3Dv5 use together. Yes over 2 million copies have been sold, but among the survey group users MSFS is only slightly more than Xplane 11 or P3Dv4andv5. However, 33% have moved from a previous version to MSFS as a primary sim.

Great! I‘d love to see that too and I‘m sure we‘re getting there at some point but I’d be very surprised if we saw churches outside the UK after the upcoming update. Although procedurally generated, they still have to model the different styles by hand, which is quite a lot of work I imagine. It would be slightly weird to see English Gothic churches in Mexico or the Philippines. i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2
January 28, 20215 yr I’ve just visited some of the places from the UK teaser in the sim to compare it. Some buildings seem to be completely different in style and I can’t remember having seen them before (could be wrong though). Could be the new procedural building types. The last two images (Windsor and Stamford Bridge) aren’t default scenery but with ORBX landmarks. The marked buildings, however, are autogenerated and not part of the landmark pack. January 28, 20215 yr Sorry, what is a Stamford Bridge? I can't see any bridges in the bottom two pictures. 😕 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.
