I have now seen two videos where it is claimed that the engine can only be started with CTRL E ...... I

Then you have seen two videos by douchebags who either cannot read a manual, or did not read the manual for this thing, which incidentally you don't even have to read because it has pictures of the start sequence that you can follow lol, or who don't know how to start the engines in a real Boeing 737, because you absolutely can start it without using Control+E.

It's true that not every switch works on the overhead, so you can't do absolutely everything you would do when cranking a real 737, but saying that you can only start it with Control+E is simply not true.

I'm not saying the thing is perfect, it is a fun 20 quid add-on which does a bit more than you might expect for that kind of money, and I've never said anything otherwise, but when people review stuff, it would help if they were accurate when they did so instead of saying it cannot do stuff which it can.

Except for where all the switches relating to starting are jumbled and labeled weird such that the real procedure can't be followed.  But who cares if you can simulate a cold and dark starts in an addon for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Also the Sim market page is explicit that there is no manual.....  There may be some brief startup instructions in an install guide but certainly not s comprehensive manual....

What this thread has mostly taught me is that I can't trust the opinions of certain people here who will do nothing but defend add-ons that are thrown together junk and lower the bar for everything that will come afterward.

Listen. you obviously have a real isue with this aircraft, if you dont like it why even comment?

Because I don't like to see misinformation being spread, like implying there is a manual somewhere when there isn't, or that real world cold and dark startups procedures work when they don't.

AMD 3950X | 64GB RAM | AMD 5700XT | CH Fighterstick / Pro Throttle / Pro Pedals

Well, what now, is there a manual with the dowload, or do I have to get it elsewhere?

The manual is easy to follow and all the switches seem fine to me. The manual is available to download after you buy the plane. It is only 17 pages but gives me all I need to know to start-up and fly.

Oh, get over yourself, all high and mighty, away back to your out of date sim!

AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung  NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive

I bought it and I don't begrudge paying the $30CDN for it. I use a Honeycomb Alpha Yoke and manually flying this aircraft is OK. Three things I noticed:

1. I have lower FPS, usually in the mid to high 20's, a max of about 17 with this aircraft. That could be due to "Default" vs. "Payware" Aircraft. Hopefully future updates can help this.

2. I also use a Saitek X52 Throttle Quad, On TakeOff as I climb out I find the VC Throttle starts quivering and moving up and down, causing the engine power to fluctuate UP & Down even though my Saitek throttle is in the full power detent. The VC throttle does not settle down until I apply AP.

3. Manual flying, when I turn Left or Right 20+ degrees there is a loud clattering, rumbling sound, as if there is something inside the aircraft shifting toward the side I am turn to (not sure that describes it very well). If anyone else has heard this they probably know what I am referring to.

Other than that I am looking for an excuse to fly longer flights in MSFS2020, in a usable Jetliner.

That's weird, elsewhere, youtube or the MSFS forum, people thinks it's garbage, but on this thread this thing gets a lot of love.

Sorry, but it is gramatically wrong to use the words "beautiful" and "Lamborghini" in the same sentence.

I heard it's a trend in South Africa as well, you can find a lot of pictures online

There certainly is a manual to download once you have bought it. It is called Bredok3d_-_Boeing_737_max_Manual_Basis_.pdf

Here is the first page:

I wrote that it is 'similar' to how you start the real thing, not identical. Why don't you try actually reading things you quote before using them as the basis to slag people off?
