737 MAX Released for MSFS 2020 at Simmarket

If they just stole the 787 avionics, why can't we just use the 787 manual.

Oh, there isn't one.

Some people really need to lighten up. There are a lot more important things to be angry about than a plane someone doesn't want to buy. It's $20! I spend more than that on beer almost weekly!

Cheers, Pete

Keep calm folks. Here is the video manual, everything is fine !!!

After watching a YouTube video on my 4K TV of this 737, I thought it really did not looks as bad as it does in some of the screenshots early on in this forum. I still don’t rate it but that’s just my opinion. At 36 pages and counting, I wonder if we will get to 36 pages this quickly when PMDG eventually release theirs. 😄

I thought someone said that much/all of the code for this aircraft is extensible.

Instead of criticizing the size and shape of a button, shouldn't be asking how can I make it better?

Probably not — negative emotions are a greater force for action than positive...

Whether, the eventual PMDG will have its own issues — the fawning over it — and the need to overcome any cognitive  dissonance justifying a $150.00 purchase will likely prevail.

There won’t be the gnashing of teeth, but the supplication that with the next update all will be well.

It's at 36 pages primarily because some people are unnecessarily getting their knickers in a twist over a 20 quid add-on, slagging it off as though making something for that kind of price point which doesn't rival the FSL A320 is some sort if uber-crime. It's really rather pathetic; most of us have paid more than that in the past for a bit of airport scenery, let alone an airliner for the simulator.

Some people really need to lighten up. Liking a cheap and cheerful flight sim add-on with a price tag that is only a bit more than I've paid to park my car at Blackpool for a day out on occasion, does not mean we're some kind of digital traitors to the cause of realisitic flight sim add-ons, nor does it mean we won't welcome fancier add-ons when they come.

And you do realize that the first thing that will be talked about when the PMDG offering becomes available is.....the price.

I have a problem with, "it's only 25bucks, it's cheap". With the CRJ coming in a couple of days, weeks with an expected cost of 50bucks, do you expect it to be only twice as good? Would it be ok for you if they use only one switch from the A320?

Absolutely. So what people need to understand is, when we say 'you get what you pay for' this applies to this thing as much as it applies to PMDG etc.

It shouldn't take a rocket surgeon to work out that getting a weed up you @ss over the levels of realism a 20 quid airliner features, is akin to complaining that the Mars Bar you ate isn't as good as that three course meal you had at that restaurant on the Champs-Elysees.

Is the PMDG NG over twice as good as the iFly NG? I wasn't aware that it was a linear scale. 🤣

So more a thing is complex the less you are willing to pay... 🤔

The Max is actually pretty fun to fly. Yes, a lot of features aren’t modeled, but for ~$20, it’s a no-brainer for me. (I’ve spent more on airports that I don’t use as often as I’ll fly this plane.)

The MB-339 and G-91 are the same price and clearly had way more care and attention put into them.

The stock aircraft in MSFS work out to $4, as people on this forum has been pointing out for months now whenever people say that the Asobo aircraft could be better - so why should I pay $20 for something with less content to it then one of those?

While I would never disparage someone for their financial situation, having come from humble beginnings myself.

If $20 is that much of an issue, then maybe this isn’t the right hobby?

The sim alone is 3 times that, not to mention the system to run it, peripherals, add-ons... etc!

And most importantly no one is making you buy it, right?
