ANNOUNCEMENT: World Update 3 is in its final polish phase and is now locked in for release on Tuesday, February 16th. The team is putting the finishing touches on all aspects of this massive update, and we appreciate your continued patience.

More information: This was a last-minute decision, as the community managers were anticipating a release today and only recently found out after being in contact with the web team for several hours. The delay will be addressed in today's development update, which should be up in the next few hours.

-I hear you but let me ask in kind... what if we released a broken build what are the repercussions? This was a last minute decision and we are doing our best to communicate to you all as soon as we can.

-This was not an easy decision I assure you and the additional delay is for your best interest.

-There are issues- standby for the dev update

-Duly noted and agreed we can improve on our communication. That is on me

-Going to analyze what I could have done differently to better support you all and get back to you with that.

Tell you what’s annoying, leaving us waiting til the last minute like that.

Something to look forward to on Tuesday. Which is one of the worst days of the week. I'll take that.

While I hate to wait it's better than in past when they rush and break sim for weeks!

Well I assume Microsoft approves all the PR, and they're based in Seattle so it's only noon for them.

I mean they would've known yesterday that it wasn't going to be ready for today, that's a bit weak really leaving it so late to inform everyone. Not that I'm fussed, I just want it to be ready when it's ready with additional fixes and *NO* new Bugs unlike the last two World Updates.

They didn't. It was a last minute decision.

It was a last-minute decision. The community managers were anticipating a release today, and had been inquiring with the web team for hours on that.

Although it is rather regrettable that they decided to delay this in the last minute without putting the finishing touches in.

...and you know this how?

edit: ok just seen that above but it seems a stretch to me but whatever, as long as it doesn't introduce new bugs next week then I'm happy

Look at the image I just posted, it's a quote from one of the community managers.

Well that's a little bit of a buzz kill. I guess we just need to cross our fingers and hope that next weeks it's a go.

Good news. I was going to to do a bit or flying this weekend and didn't want anything broken or have to wait for the A320 FBW to be updated.

A relief. I can wait until Tuesday for the update. Sim is almost perfect as is for me.
