It’s software. Things slip. Maybe they ran into a last minute bug or issue that required more attention.

My guess is they tried to release but probably couldn’t fix, test, or confirm things, so a decision was made to slip a few days.

We’re adults and a few days more is fine.

I can't complain about the update as it hasn't happened and I don't know what we are supposed to be getting yet! 

But I can't help show my disappointment, as it is natural to be excited about this sim we all love, and this last minute delay on top of the other ones is quite deflating for me.

Let's face it, if this was another company in any other trade or walk of life, people would ask them 'what the hell is going on guys?'  Not easy with software I know. I hope they scrap the 'locked in' date now as the pressure on them will be immense to deliver - not good for software development as we know - look at Cyberpunk. I wouldn't and couldn't work under that much pressure.

Would we? They put out a product that we all purchased. They’re now adding content and value...for free.

When did we ever get this level of updates and free content from the MSFS team? Never.

FS9 and FSX were practically unusable in their default state. You had to buy, mesh, textures, landclass, airports, aircraft, etc.

We’ve already had updates for Japan, the US, and one for the UK a few days away, and bug fix updates....all in 6 months.

Perspective.

BTW nothing is guaranteed in life, nothing! not even software updates being released on time. Some of you guys need to chill out you're just showing everyone the immaturity inside. Kind of embarrassing.

Neil, I already stated on the previous page, I am not too bothered about the scenery updates, I am on about the bug fixes.

Then they returned and promised a fix in a couple of days 7/01:

And they ignored their own promise and left the users ignored for more than a month already, probably assuming that the users will apply the community fix by themselves.

At least I'm at work on Tuesday, so by the time I arrive in from work sometime after 7PM UK time the update will just be waiting for me to update the sim without any of the carry on like what we had today.

The visuals are in much worse shape vs. the release version. They broke:

- tree draw distance,

- coastlines,

- terrain spikes,

- night lighting,

- autogen building textures.

So we are waiting for bringing back the core features of product we bought, personally I don't care about Japan, USA, UK, France, Benelux as I live and fly in the part of the world for which I rather not expect the "World Update".

My issue is the way they go about these updates. Leaving the sim with serious issues (terrain spikes) even though they have a fix in the pipe since the beginning of January. 
 

Can we wait a few days more of course, are we grateful for free updates sure, but they need to address their approach to these releases because since it’s launch it’s been pretty terribly managed.

Well they are, they are now beta testing and delaying if needs be but..no like I said people are never happy in MSFS world. Release...moan...delay..moan.
