New Option Menu.Traffic_Fauna ?

Featured Replies

Just doublechecked my settings after having completed the second perfect flight after SU3 since I had slight stutters taking off from Simflights EDDM for EKCH. And found above setting under Options —> General —> Traffic. Could bet its new. So now I can set fauna traffic under section land and sea traffic? It is set to 100 but I did not see any seagulls when flying into EKCH just now. Did anybody have some insights what this slider triggers? Will set it to 5 and see how MSFS behaves then...

Could be placebo but I set this fauna traffic to 5, started another flight from EDDM to LOWI and it was much smoother, no noticeable stutters during takeoff... now if I only knew what this slider really does....

I can't see any difference, also in the number of birds (zero), but with 8 GB and an i5 2500K I would certainly disable it.

If you fly low over Glasgow with this setting above 5, you will see a lot of rats on the streets.

I also flew around Wuhan and saw a number of bats.

May be best to switch this off

Green roads / highways / streets / with some dogs, cows, bears 🙂

I think it's a case of the cart before the horse. The capability is there, but no critters yet.

It does nothing for now... I think they forgot to hide it in this build because the name hasn't been refined yet as well.

That must have been about the time the game was playable again.

I guess it's for a future feature and it was accidentally included.

This totally looks like a missed bug - even if its not doing anything.   There is no way in a professional triple A title you have a menu labeled that way in a released product.

I just noticed this weird name in my settings: MENU.TRAFFIC_FAUNA?

Simple...

It's just a placeholder for the new Airport eateries Menus of items, Realtime road Traffic reports and new/seasonal wildlife settings, Fauna, all combined into one convenient slider!
