What do I miss the most in Aerosoft CRJ

I miss using control devices like the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo or Streamdecks in particular for lights and autopilot.

I'm using the Alpha to control lights. It works - however, the cockpit switches do not move.

In other words, I come to your house and realize my keys don't fit your door lock. Instead of getting the right key, I ask you to change the lock. Got it.

Currently many functions are not usable because the default key bindings do not work with the Aerosoft CRJ.

I actually got to work almost all of by buttons except ALT.  I also managed to setup thruстreverse on my honeycomb bravo

Are LVARs available to manipulate in something like Spad ?

Are there tooltips at mouseover? If not, why not?

Is it realistic that the left APU button has no visual clue if on or off?

The tool tips on mouseover are not enabled because the default ones provided by MSFS are so huge. Because almost every switch in the cockpit is active, you would have tool tips popping up constantly every time you move the mouse pointer around.

The left APU master switch in the real aircraft does not have a light to indicate its status (on or off). The only time it will light is if the APU generates a fault condition.

A tooltip option in the EFB settings would be nice.

That's interesting. I haven't checked that.

Maybe the same goes for the autopilot functions?

Yes, I can set speed, vs and heading bug as well, but not altitude. Apart from that also the autopilot mode buttons don't work. Unless they actually do work but without affecting the switches in the cockpit. Have to check that.

Indeed ALT does not work. But I have some mode buttons on my Bravo actually working, and they also have the corresponding cockpit AP switches working and lighting up, so it can be done.

What do you mean by you cannot set ALT. Don’t the green dots turn on?

It seems tricky indeed at least for me not having read the manual, what works for me is dialing ALT like 22000 feet. Then engage VS and dial say +2.500 FPS. It will then level off at 22000 when VS will turn off and ALT will turn on with the 2 green dots. Just tried it while enroute TNCM to KEYW

I'm away from my PC so can't check right now but if memory serves me well not all the autopilot modes can be set with the corresponding button on the Honeycomb Bravo. Some may work, but some do not.

I haven't purchased the CRJ yet, but it sure would be nice to get an answer to that question!

There are no VFR sectionals or whatever they call them outside of the US but there are low/hi enroute plus IAPs.

They’re supposed to be coming, though they’ve been saying that for a while now.  Hopefully soon.

Even with that piece missing my Navigraph subscription is certainly among my best cost/benefit ratio flight simming expenses.
