Purchased this last week. Amazing scenery. Oxford, Wycombe and Southend are three of my fav MSFS airport add-ons.

Looks a lot better than the new Orbx Stapleford which appears ported and very dated. I saw Grippersim's latest Carenado Arrow video on YouTube which featured Stapleford in which he did not have anything good to say about the airport and said it was an FSX port (and really it looks like it).

I bought MK studios Dublin airport in the current sale and was really disappointed by the low quality textures. They didn't even bother to add PBR to most of the buildings which look like a pixelated mess up close. The signage is a mess and mostly unreadable and 2d. Clearly it was a very lazy port. I can live with it at 40% off in the sale as it's better than nothing for my place of birth EIDW home airport but comparing it to the excellent nearby freeware Casement Baldonnel Aerodrome available on flightsim.to it's night and day. And that's freeware and far far superior (I highly recommend it). To summarise, I hope certain developer's get their act together and soon.

I think we need to be careful buying for Orbx from now on, though I am aware this is not made by Orbx directly. Just to be clear (as I know I am ranting a bit after my disappointment with MK studios Orbx platform release), Oxford by Pilot Plus looks really good. I just wish the Orbx website offered consistency in it's quality control.

This looks good.  I bought it by mistake looking at the screenshots thinking it was Fairoaks right next to McClaren's super car HQ.  I hope Fairoaks get's done as it's in a great area not that far from the city center of London.  Great jump off for scenic flights over the city.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for your kind words. Indeed we are not affiliated to the development or publishing of Orbx products or other Orbx partner products such as MK.

We are fully independent. Thank you for your kind words on Oxford!

Is there any news on where the next MSFS airport will be?

Presumably not in London - not unlike Oxford isn't, in spite of their council rebranding the old RAF Kidlington base with that preposterous name, to much hilarity from everyone in the UK. In fact it's so far away from London that it's nearly in the Cotswolds.

Joking aside it's a nice add-on.

Pilot Plus airports are superb! Southend is excellent.  Best airport I ever bought for X-Plane was their EGGD. If they take requests I would like EGTE and EGSH for MSFS please.😄

I really like the work you guys are doing, Southend, Wycombe and now Oxford  - good job!

This does look jolly rather nice. I’m looking for a nice home for my new JF Piper Arrow III. This could be just the ticket 🙂

I actually flew  a Piper Arrow from Oxford many times when all the runways were grass. It was busy with training aircraft. The number of aircraft movements was around the same as Heathrow. Calling downwind on one occasion I was told there were 17 - yes one seven - aircraft ahead to land.

How about doing "London" Cambridge EGSC as well!  MSFS does an excellent job of Cambridge city and colleges, but the airport is not accurate at all.

My system specs: Intel [email protected] - 5.2 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080, 32GB  DDR4  RAMNoctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler,1TB Seagate SSD, 4TB Seagate HD, Windows 10, Asus 32 inch monitor, Saitek Yoke, Throttle Quadrant, Rudder Pedals and Trim Wheel     Sims: MSFS2020      Preferred Aircraft  Black Square Bonanza, and Baron, A2A Comanche, PMDG DC-6, Red Wing L1049

The Wikipedia page seems to indicate that EGSC Cambridge will be closed to all traffic by 2030 at the latest. I have always considered it to be a rather strange airport, with no main hard taxiway connecting both ends, and no defined aprons/ramps anywhere (apart from the grass one for small GA planes). It looks more like an industrial area than an airport.

Back on topic, this looks like a superb rendition of Oxford airport.
