If anything, it was loaded to encourage you to press YES when it seems to have been the wrong option for most people. What a mess! Some people treasure them, some don't feel the need to keep them after they've settled down with that person. The Logbook is a record of your achievements and, if you have a gaming background, achievements are a thing. Then there are the people who are all about immersion, and a real pilot will have a logbook. Makes sense to have one in the sim (though some keep a written one, even for simming). April 10, 20215 yr clicked yes, sim kinda stuck, killed it from the system monitor, fire back the sim and went to the content manager to update these "3" packages and went back to normal. Hope it helps AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display

April 10, 20215 yr I posted this on another thread. OK, I think I fixed it. 1 Go into data and turn it on in MSFS 2. hit save. When you do that the message will pop up Packages out of date do you want to continue, hit Yes. 3 Then you will get a screen that says HHit any key to continue. Do not do that, just close MSFS with the X in the upper right corner. 4 Restart PC, don't shut down and startup, hit Restart in Windows 5. Start MSFS. You will se the checking for updates spinning circle again, everything loads at normal speed, and market is not grayed out anymore. 6. Go to data, and you will see everything is turned on as normal.
April 10, 20215 yr Hi, Talk about logbook....... I tried a search in MSFS to locate it and I got a bunch of subsidiary files, but not my personal logbook. I'd like to make a copy in case it is obliterated again. Also, some landings were not logged that were ok (not dev.). So, I'd like to correct it. Where is it? Or is it even available? Thanks. Jim Morgan
April 10, 20215 yr I note that a number of you are reporting about 3 patches. I have not had any patches to install. Could it be only the Steam version that is receiving these patches? I have the 'disc' installed version. Incidentally when I closed the program via Task Manager and restarted, the log book had not been affected.
April 10, 20215 yr The patches you speak of are updates in the content folder of your profile that needs to be updated. they are scenery updates for airports. April 10, 20215 yr I went through this and patience was required. 😉 After I hit yes there was a delay before the "Hit any key." screen appeared and after hitting a key there was another delay. After this the sim loaded and all was good and my log book was intact. Bill Edited April 10, 20215 yr by Bill Griffith Bill N7IBG
