"Your Packages are out of Date" - about to lose my Logbook?

I installed the update the day it came out. The next day I got the "Package out of date" message. It happened to many people that had already update the three downloads.

“Those are not the Droids you are looking for”. The two airport and one landing challenge package updates in the content manager don’t appear to have anything to do with the “out of date” packages message - it’s possible those have been there for quite some time, and downloading and installing them does not solve the problem in any case.

Wow!  It has really affected your keyboard as well by the look of it!

You cannot force an update.  There is one scheduled for tomorrow (if it still goes ahead), and Asobo are working on the problem.
Nobody knows for sure if Asobo can apply a fix to get the log books back.
Some people have had their logbooks reappear, and some have not.  We will all just have to wait unfortunately.

I believe you will find that when the people that got this message initially, and clicked yes, are the people that lost their log books. Once that happens, you log book is toast. I didn't click yes, I clicked no and exited out of MSFS. When I started it again, I saw that my online settings was turned off. My log book was still there, then I did the steps that I posted on a couple of threads, and everything returned to normal, and my log book remained untouched. If you don't follow the steps I suggested, then either the message will keep popping up, or eventually your log book will be lost. YMMV

Went out on a limb and tried your process. It worked. Seems everything is back to normal and online, logbook is still there. Thanks!

What ever you do, don't click YES! Asobo should have gone out with that information when it became clear that the log book can disappear if you click yes.

I understood that something must be wrong when the message pop up, Asobo would never ask to update the game while playing it, so for me it was obvious to say no.

Clocking up the hours in the Corsair then David? Must be good.

I take the Spit for a thrash most evenings. Can't get enough of it.

If you click yes and follow the rest of the steps I posted, you will fix the problem. If you click yes and don't follow the steps, say goodbye to your logbook.

It seems that it is OK to click yes. You then get a Press Any Key screen. Now on that screen press Alt-Tab to get to your Desktop and select Restart PC, forcing a shutdown of the sim. What you mustn’t do is press any key (obviously Alt -Tab is not any key 😁)

I have my logbook and all settings in tact and my sim is online, Marketplace all good. No more package messages.

Yup, i pressed yes the first time mid flight, sim locked up, and had to opt out via the task manager, which seems to have been a blessing in disguise as i still have my 847hrs logged.
