April 11, 20215 yr There are other games that will eliminate some of your progress when things get updated - or sometimes just because it seems. SCS Truck sims have reset progress in the past but it hasnt happened to me in a while. MS games such as Jigsaw have reset my progress but that seemed to be more of an issue with sync and trying to play on two different machines. I think they have that figured out now. MSFS is still a WIP. | Dave | I've been around for most of my life. There's always a sunset happening somewhere in the world that somebody is enjoying.

April 11, 20215 yr Yeah, seems pretty random. Follow what 109SQN did - he avoided losing his Hours by approaching cautiously and in a measured fashion that paid off his diligence.
April 11, 20215 yr Hi all I've been away from the sim since 2nd April. Returned today and now reading about this logbook havoc. I have started the sim a few minutes ago and all went well and past the "checking for updates" screen. Checked logbook and all hours are still there. Have not started a flight yet - too scared 😆. What I have noticed is that there are 3 updates [ KSWF - KDFW and Alaska Bush trip] available in Content Manager- should I stay clear of those updates ?. Any advice will be appreciated. And to the simmers who lost their logbooks - I feel for you. I've flown the FBW A32X at least a couple of flights every day for the last week - nothing untoward has happened. April 11, 20215 yr Had this message pop up during a flight with a CRJ. Forced the end of that flight! Also it changed a lot of my settings. Anyone else notice any performance impact with the "new packages"? / CPU: Intel i7-9700K @4.9 / RAM: 32GB G.Skill 3200 / GPU: RTX 4080 16GB / Freight Pilot

Anyone else notice any performance impact with the "new packages"? You could have just hit no. It would have turned off all online functions but you could have finished the flight. None of the packages are connected to performance, it's just KDFW, KSWF and an Alaska challenge flight. Maybe those airports have better performance now idk. Edited April 11, 20215 yr by Tuskin38

It happened to many people that had already update the three downloads.

By issuing beta testers the new sim, they screwed with the primary server version number, meaning all our sims are perpetually out of date and forced to run offline. They want us to update, but when they go back to Asobo to get the update, there is nothing there yet and voila, your PC (or rather the sim) is stuck in a confused loop. This perfectly describes what I suspect has happened, and if they already made back end changes to the server, it is probably too late to revert them now.
