Bye, bye W11.

I guess I’m in that boat too. Same CPU. I tried switching on TPM in the BIOS and it says that TPM 2 is enabled but my PC still fails the test no matter which BIOS option I select.

My 10th Gen i7 laptop passes though.

I guess the adoption rate for Win 11 will be very slow then. I’m not spending $$$  just to update Windows.

Is the BIOS set to UEFI boot only?  I was set at UEFI & LEGACY and had to change to UEFI only, which necessitated booting from Restore Media, a USB stick created using Macrium Reflect.  Then it still took fiddling around w/ several settings in the Security section of the BIOS before I got it right.  Did not need to reinstall Win 10.

Have you checked if your OS drive is UEFI?

Yes I am definitely set on UEFI only. I might fiddle in the BIOS a bit more but I will watch the forums too as people might figure work arounds out. I have an MSI Z170A XPower Titanium motherboard which was a top range board when it launched. That was a good few years ago though. So a bit surprised it would not support this.

There is perhaps wishful thinking that motherboard manufacturers might release BIOS updates that may address compatability too.

Or maybe the CPU is the problem, will run the test again now that they have updated the app.

The updated app still gives me the thumbs down.

Late here .. will see tomorrow if I have the courage to check the BIOS settings.

PS : the word BIOS scarce me .. lol

You don't need to reinstall windows, if you're on Windows 10 there is a built in program that will convert your drive without wiping data. It will only work if you have less than 4 partitions though.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/mbr-to-gpt

I did it yesterday and it went fine.

I finally got it all working after a few hours. This seemed like a lot of work but I used the MBR to GPT tool within command prompt. After much reading and fiddling I got it to change my boot drive to GPT so I could then enable Secure Boot in the BIOS. But it also disabled windows recovery, so I had to disable and enable that through command prompt as well. This was all way over my head, but finally it is saying I can run windows 11, and I think I didn't do too much damage to the computer.

I would recommend anyone that has enabled TPM and Enabled UEFI in BIOS and it still isn't working to check your system information and make sure your BIOS mode is set to UEFI. Mine was set to Legacy, but you can change it with this tool without any data loss and not having to backup/reinstall windows https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/mbr-to-gpt

It's a bit of a pain, but I did it, and I think successfully, because supposedly it will run faster and it's better anyhow.

Yeah well I have a Gigabyte aorus master z390 motherboard with TPM and uefi capable and all turned on  it still tells me my system is no go for w11 what a load of word not allowed

I have Aorus Pro z390 with a 9600 CPU and was no go also until I enabled Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT) in bios.

Older menu layout than mine, but gives you a clue.

What next to move to W11, have to edit every line of the registry?    MS launches yet  another debacle.

Apparently back in the day the Windows 10 system requirements also said it required TPM (lower version) and Secure boot, but you could install it fine without that.
