Comparing a released and evolving title like MSFS (that you can test for 1 EUR, by the way) with a game that is in development for almost 10 years after collecting hundreds of millions of dollars from its fanbase is not reasonable, sorry.

I have been using FS since early beta and there are constant improvements being released. If you are either not an user or don´t follow its progress that closely, perhaps it is better to refrain from such inflammatory remarks.

As mentioned earlier, I use the Addons Linker and for my most recent flights no addon has been added to more than one flight. For instance today I was in the 172 classic in Oregon with the pms430 GNS mod.  Yesterday I was in the Baron G36 in Wisconsin with the WTG1000 mod.  Again, no addons or mods shared between those flights.  The only payware that resides in my Community folder is the drzewieckidesign-washingtonlandmarks package, which based on local should not have been an issue.  

I now monitor my system's RAM and GPU memory utilization as well as CPU and GPU temps and do not see any cause there.  I manage my MSFS graphics settings carefully to that end.

I have had CTD's since MSFS launched. We have completely different hardware except the PSU. In my case, the cause seemed to be related to the controller profiles in "c:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs\" since after removing some of the older ones, my CTD's became much less frequent.
Everytime you do a new installation of MSFS however, it re-syncs all those profiles from the cloud.

I think you are heavily tied to X-Plane though.  I believe you have an article written about you at X-Plane.com and you are also a "Community leader" at X-plane.org.  Are you also making money, directly or indirectly, through add-ons or some other product, or perhaps you are a paid directly for your work, for X-Plane?  

I have never heard you say you would consider switching to MSFS, or getting MSFS, at any time.  A reasonable flight simmer that is not a "cult" of X-Plane would logically say MSFS is something they may get, if it fulfills this, this, and this criteria.  I haven't heard you say that once - perhaps this is something you can't say because it would hurt your relationship with Austin or Laminar Research.

I am pro MSFS because on the surface, if I analyze what is happening, including taking into account LM's and LR's very slow progress in the past 10 years, I think MSFS will go very far and become the main home PC flight simulator for the next decade.  But I am not loyal to Asobo or Microsoft.  I don't owe anything to Asobo or Microsoft and I will gladly switch to P3D/X-Plane if P3D/X-Plane come out with a version that is cheaper and better than MSFS, based on the criteria that I set.  

Would you be able to say "I don't owe anything to X-Plane and I will gladly switch to MSFS if MSFS comes out with a version that is cheaper and better than X-Plane, based on the criteria that I set"?  If you could say this, then we would have an easier time to believe you're not in some sort of X-Plane "cult."

It's not so bad. I actually just reinstalled windows and the sim. Took about 3 hours

Every single MSFS thread...  Nothing constructive, nothing helpful, just how XPlane is better and inevitably personal battles with other forum users.  it's enough no?  Everyone knows who you are at this point and exactly what is coming when you post, it's ridiculous.  Yes, yes, we know, you are "defending" your sim... Who cares?  If someone else believes MSFS is the best thing since sliced bread why do you care?  Your distinct lack of self control, and repeated behavior(s) have at this point defined how everyone here sees you and it does not what you type anymore no one will take you seriously.  I hope your employer never sees this forum and uses it as an MBTI for you, it wouldn't be positive.  People don't think you are cute or amusing, you aren't entertaining us at this point, you've diluted your message to the point no one even wants to hear from you anymore, you are just noise at this point.  

Edit Do you have a search for XP in the MSFS forums or just take the time to read every thread in case you need to jump in?

The discussions concerning XP vs MSFS has no place in this forum. Many posts have gone far beyond general discussion.  This verbal battle has gone on for years between XP and Microsoft so lets let it die.

As such, this lengthy debate is now over.
