What AI option do you mean exactly?

Here's a video I took of the scenery popping in

Yes, there is some room for improvement here for sure.

The way a few people are describing it made it seem like the entire scene is being redrawn when looking around and you can see that. That of course is false.

Only objects further away like buildings and bridges are most noticeable.

The performance gains justify the update for me.

I'll give it a try tomorrow. Maybe with fresh eyes I'll see things differently.

Thanks.

Never mind. I compared with and without and on the new machine the difference is dramatic is some places.

I'd just like to apologize for some negative comments I made yesterday, even before I got a chance to try the update myself. The comments were made in a state of panic that my favorite hobby is in jeopardy - I based my comments on what others were saying. I use TrackIR on every flight and constant scenery popping-in and stutters every time I look around - I was under the impression that this is the case now - would of course be devastating. This is not the case at all! Yes, I get an occasional scenery pop-in when I look around really quickly but it's occasional and even then barely noticeable. On the other hand the smoothness (the result of FPS gains) overweighs this drawbacks big time! So far, I'm really happy with the update!

If I've learnt one life lesson it's never base your opinions on what other people say 🙂

Respect due for your post.  Enjoy the sim!  The sky isn't falling after all.

No. It once again broke the minds of children as predicted.

Is it possible to express an opinion without necessarily insulting other people?

Andrea

I’ve had a good increase in frames, but oh boy there does appear to be issues with stutters - and I’m talking 1 FPS for 30sec stutters.

I will test without MP and see if there is a noticeable improvement

Not when they're acting like children, no.

I’ve ran into that issue a few times also, do you have Photogrammetry enabled?

Cheers, Rob

Yes always,  I had it heading South out of EGGD, so yes Potogrammetry Bristol was behind me, in front was non PG Somerset and Devon - a relatively quiet area also for MP. These pauses also started when in external view and panning, but I have had them in cockpit view in other areas also - has to be data congestion/processing again
