Exactly you haven't experience the "pop in" in VR and if so you'd know it isn't avoidable by your own advice of "flying the correct way"

So do us VR folks a favor and just zip it...

Thanks!

So you guys who are reporting good performance are not seeing those reload and scenery pop ins when panning views and switching to external and back to cockpit? I do that often when I fly casually with my xbox controller. That is the one thing I'm concerned about and I see a lot of people here in this thread complaining about that so I was just curious.

I am dropping two or three frames while recording in 4k. Quality is not the best because of HDR I presume. but here you go. The stop at the end is me fiddling with OBS, does not happen while flying.

Honestly, I swear it's like the forum is rigged for bad news. 10 people report great stuff, and it's almost ignored. One or two people report an issue, or rumors of an issue, and everybody starts to lose their mind.

What is the good stuff people are reporting?  I haven't gone home yet to try this out, all I keep finding on here is the bad stuff.

My post above yours for example 🙂

Increasing the lod sliders to 4.0000 in user.cfg helps a lot, I can hardly see any pop-in now, and panning are also improved.

The incredible jumps in fps and the increase in smoothness even in the most dense areas while flying an airliner.

They should expose that in the graphics menu.

Use Nvidia shadowplay or whatever the AMD equivalent is to record video. Much smoother.

Glad I got in some GA flying before the update was forced on us. Thank god for DCS.

If you're into cartoonish looking terrain I guess.

Yeah I would if nVidia had not required a login for whatever the name of their added value suite is.

Edit: Geforce Experience it was... And only my head movement is a bit jerky. But there the problem is in front of the keyboard. As you can see the plane moves smoothly 🙂
