July 27, 20214 yr This issue is very very disappointing, basically they "fixed" something that wasn't broken and its not even a compromise, no settings to adjust to make it better we have to learn to live with it, for me, it just snaps me out of realism, I love panning around after take off and watch the scenery go by. Will have to see how bad it is once the whole sim is downloaded again. Simming since FS 98. It's not. I just flew with trackIR over NYC and it's not a big deal at all. It's a minor issue unless you use snap views. Though I do wish they gave us the option for increasing pop-in distance for powerful computers. Overall, it was buttery smooth over NYC at 4k, 100% scaling, everything on ultra. I am perfectly fine with this minor compromise. It was amazing. FSX | DCS | X-Plane 11 | MSFS 2020 | IL2:BoX Favorite aircraft currently: MSFS Savage Cub

I just flew over NYC with track IR and the only thing that snapped me out of reality were the screen space reflections (can't wait for DX12 to fix that). That’s a whole new NDA story. I have to install the entire 120GB again also but I certainly can't tolerate pop in nor those annoying hourglass sim freezes in VR again. Thanks for warning us of these issues beforehand as just a fellow simmer/consumer first!🍻 I'll certainly try the sim again when VR is updated/patched. Until then I'll enjoy my current VR go to sim. Far from panicking 🙂 As I said need to test it myself. Thanks for the feedback. However I think this will be far more noticeable over rural areas with trees. Which is where I fly mostly. It always depends on how much you move around and how quick you do it. It's torture when you want to start the DC-6 using the realistic engine start procedures. I just want an option to add more in VRAM/RAM. This update is much better for lower end than for higher end pc. https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.

Yes, I already predicted dozens of whining children. That's been true for as long as I've been part of the flight sim community. This is not surprising at all. There is some room for improvement but in no way does it break the sim. FSX | DCS | X-Plane 11 | MSFS 2020 | IL2:BoX Favorite aircraft currently: MSFS Savage Cub

For me with Track IR, it's not a big issue so far as I don't snap my neck around. FSX | DCS | X-Plane 11 | MSFS 2020 | IL2:BoX Favorite aircraft currently: MSFS Savage Cub

Sure but that's just a bad compromise, I would take my pre-update FPS happily the way it was over just looking ahead and flying smoother. July 27, 20214 yr Just musing whilst waiting for this to download.... I guess this would be quite pronounced when switching from forward cockpit to Pax window view? which is one of my habits
