SU 5 Stutters

They are not longer rendering what you don't see to boost fps and lower vram and ram usage. This is why panning really quickly will cause your FPS to go down by as much as 50% while panning. This done on purpose as per Asobo.

So they basically broke the game for anybody not using Xbox controller?

could be servers are slow now, too many people at same time.

sounds like downloading scenery, live traffic? etc

it is not wise to come to conclusions too soon, wait until the download wave is over, a few days , i guess.

Probably server issues.

Nothing to do with server issues. flightsimulator.exe is literally "not responding" in the process manager. Completely locked up. Until it revives itself about a min later. A server issue wouldnt freeze up the whole simulator.

I don't like more than you do and I've been very vocal about it during the beta. Now if you move slowly, it's more than fine but the second you want to pan really fast, it's really bad. I wish they gave us a slider when we can decided how much we load in VRAM/RAM so that we can determine what is the threshold for us.

Stutter can be cause by OC for CPU. I see you are OC at 5GHZ on all cores.

Im having exactly the same stutter. I’m on the xbox series x

To be honest, it is very hard to find a good middle ground with MSFS. MSFS is a beast that is hungry for resources, so if that is the only way to increase the performance, I'd be fine with it as long they would improve things to mediate the side effects.

Could it be that your mod dramatically increases the popping in? I will need to check further, but on my first run with all addons disabled, I did see only little popping in (scenic flight around Naples), then I activated some modes including yours and started off Tromso, the popping was unbearable. Some mountains even had trees on them but when loading in, all the trees but some disappeared. Furthermore, it seems that with your mod, there is a distinct line in front of the plane where the colour of the trees change. Could it be that somehow your trees are only loaded closer to the aircraft and further out, it uses the MSFS default trees (and colours)?

No joy like this, hope it is a bandwith issue. I am off "testing" for today, no nerves to see this enormous popping when panning around. Simply ridiculous...

Ah, one thing that is also strange: if I activate the dev mode, it reads 0.0ms for my GPU and of course I am CPU limited all the way like this. Something is wrong here...

It has nothing to do with any mod or servers being busy.

Quoted from asobo:  This is one of the side effect to increase performance."

I use TrackIR so there's a lot of fast panning involved. If this means constant stutters then I mightnas well just give up.

Anybody with TrackIR here? How's the experience?

So people like myself that use TrackIR to look around on approach, will have to put up with this I guess.

What's "Not bad" mean?

This is what I meant in the previous  post I replied to you about in the other thread.

Well. if you move your head really quick , it's bad, if you just slow move around. it's fine. It all depends on the sensitivity of your profile.

Well frankly, I see the dumbing down of the PC version so that it will work with a $400 X box. Guess we have to get used to it.
