Ok, let's ask them to add sliders in the next Twitch Q&A.  We'll tell Asobo we like their design decision to increase the FPS and lower the RAM/CPU usage, but we want a toggle for people with more powerful computers.

Locking my FPS to 60 in NVDIA, will it help with stutters or just let it run unlimited? Honestly I get above 60 but I don't really need anything above 60. 

For them to have "dramatically" improved performance i am guessing they will have had to cut corners. XBOX is going to be a huge market for them so they will want the sim to run as well as it can for that platform.

 

The second video is garbage. Who repeatedly goes inside and out of the cockpit in a continous quick repetitive loop like that? 

There are plenty of videos not showing the bad rendering in that video because they are not doing these actions.

If you run unlimited dont be surprised you have stutter.

Pop up will always happen when you pan right or left. What would help is to increase Object LOD to 400 and terrain LOD to 400 in config file so the pop  ups would happen at further distance. You won't lose much FPS in SU5 as we did in SU4 with config file.

Yeah, that's what I think too.  Most people don't go inside and out of the cockpit and switches to views like that when they fly.  I'm fine with the design decisions Asobo made to increase the FPS (but they just need a toggle for more powerful computers).

If it only happens after view change for a few seconds, I guess I can live with that. If pop-ups occur all the time during a normal flight in cockpit view, that would be a different story.

So setting to 400/400 is not a big FPS hit?

Most used slowly moving drone cameras and panning very slowly for this reason. No one flies with drone camera. There are few that's actually visible in those xbox those before.

It happens, some scenes show less than others.

All this could caused by everyone hitting the servers for the download all at the same time....

First flight = CTD. No add-ons. Not overclocking.
