Cant figure that out. Quite annoying. Played with all kinds of settings , closing any extra programs, to no avail. could be servers are slow now, too many people at same time. sounds like downloading scenery, live traffic? etc it is not wise to come to conclusions too soon, wait until the download wave is over, a few days , i guess.

I use TrackIR and scan often when in the traffic pattern - a redraw every head move will be bad and immersion breaking! I didn't have any issues or complaints with MSFS with any stuttering, LOD distance, or FPS. I don't think i needed any performance increase especially at the expense of this "feature". I even stated in another post how happy I was with the visual qualities of MSFS with me not no noticing any real pop ups, etc, and I was happy with my pc ability to MSFS on high. I was not greedy; I didn't need ultra. I guess extra FPS would be great, but what good is a few more FPS if other things are "right in my face"? Plus I thought the extra smoothness and any FPS increase would be from better "coding" or whatever those software wizards do and not from this "shortcut". Wasn't this down in FSX where people complained about looking at a cloud or a building, looking away, then back and it's gone? Might kill immersion a bit. Heck, we all could have had better performance by lowering our settings. The difference is: we would have the option of what we wanted to lower to get the better performance or deal with lower performance but have better visual qualities. This is a step backwards. So, if I am reading this correctly, even if I buy a 4000 video card next year, I might notice this re-drawing if I look out the side window because a 4000 or a 8000 series video card will not fix this "feature"? Don't flame me, but I have to BET this to be to help the Xbox run this software. This is to benefit the Xbox users over the PC users, imho. Well, then again, with out the Xbox-ers maybe we don't get a pc version. I completely agree with you. I didn't like the limited tree LOD draw distance, but apart from this I had good performance on Ultra settings. Imagine all the popping of scenery while in the traffic pattern and scanning side/forwards often - trees drawn further out but the scenery doing a permanent re-draw? Sounds like a huge step backwards - surely this has been done to keep an XBOX 4K running smooth? In the MS video they said the tree lod problem was fixed but DID NOT say anything about scenery re-draws! Could it be that your mod dramatically increases the popping in? I will need to check further, but on my first run with all addons disabled, I did see only little popping in (scenic flight around Naples), then I activated some modes including yours and started off Tromso, the popping was unbearable. Some mountains even had trees on them but when loading in, all the trees but some disappeared. Furthermore, it seems that with your mod, there is a distinct line in front of the plane where the colour of the trees change. Could it be that somehow your trees are only loaded closer to the aircraft and further out, it uses the MSFS default trees (and colours)? No joy like this, hope it is a bandwith issue. I am off "testing" for today, no nerves to see this enormous popping when panning around. Simply ridiculous... Ah, one thing that is also strange: if I activate the dev mode, it reads 0.0ms for my GPU and of course I am CPU limited all the way like this. Something is wrong here... July 27, 20214 yr They are not longer rendering what you don't see to boost fps and lower vram and ram usage. This is why panning really quickly will cause your FPS to go down by as much as 50% while panning. This done on purpose as per Asobo. https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.
