Well. if you move your head really quick , it's bad, if you just slow move around. it's fine. It all depends on the sensitivity of your profile.

Well, that's bad. My profile is as close to "real time" movements as it gets.

That's not an in cockpit video.

It demonstrates the scenery being re-drawn when the view changes.  This re-draw has been introduced to increase performance.  Looks ruddy awful!

Mine too. I guess we will have to work on looking around v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y, like if we had a neck injury.

In VR, or with track IR, for the past 20 days, I’ve had pop in that is visible when scanning quickly left to right.
And my system is close enough to be a top end system.

People on Xbox * shouldn’t * notice this as they don’t have track IR or VR.

The sim really needs some VR work, which I believe they said they will focus on soon.

However, I’d imagine people who fly fast jets and pan the camera quickly will also see the pop in that is evident .

With regards to the sim freezing, yes it happens. It’s nothing to do with server load.  In VR you get black screen, in 2D it just freezes and then multiple seconds layers unfreezes with a jolt.

This is extremely disappointing 😞

That's an understatement.  Lots of really angry posts on the Offical MS forum about this degradation.

Please make sure you go on the MSFS forum and complain about it.

Deaf. Ears. I hate to be pessimistic, I, like you am just speaking from experience.

Whilst I currently download the entire sim again, 120gb. That’s a whole new NDA story.

So in other words, this update has broken the sim.

If people complain about it, they need to include that the fix is to include a toggle so that people with more powerful computers and more RAM don't experience this.  Because the fix that Asobo made is actually a good fix for people with less powerful computers with less RAM.

Lots of complaints already on the forum. Those complaints and $2 will buy you a cup of coffee.

I suppose that’s depends on how you look at it. Is it smoother? Sure. Higher FPS? Sure. However as I pointed out last week, it’s not always about FPS.

If you’re using VR or track IR, is it a degraded experience? Yes.

Here is my guess, people on X box won't be using Track IR, and if it works OK on X box, end of story. PC users will just have to learn to "suck it up".

I will reiterate what I said one year ago. The smoothest sim experience I’ve ever had was when Xplane switched to Vulkan. It’s no exaggeration to say it was as smooth as butter.
As to how it is these days, I’ve no idea. I deleted it as it looks terrible compared to MSFS.

The age old sim scenario still exists though; more time tweaking that flying. Except this time it’s the devs doing the tweaking!

Maybe someone could explain to the devs that you are supposed to look left and right pretty often while doing VFR in a 172. I have it mapped to the hat button of my joystick. What's the use of a VFR flight simulator if it breaks your immersion when you do normal VFR ops?

I hope this is a joke. We will see tomorrow
