Odd, do you have all the Free scenery updates from MS?   If so, you should see those updates in the marketplace (oops, yes content manager)??

Cheers, Rob.

Yeah, had 20+ gigs in content manager. All installed. But thanks!

I've watched countless videos now of the horrifying pop-in from panning the camera. I'm hoping they are Xbox versions people are passing off as PC

It seems the world doesn't exist until you look at it

So to avoid CTD it's recommended to enable Windows Game Mode? Is this true? Where did you hear such a thing? And I think I already have MSFS configured for Hardware GPU Scheduling.

I haven't heard this information anywhere I'm just pointing out that it was the only thing I did differently before having the CTDs and after enabling these options again my problems were resolved.

Is it just me or visuals has slightly changed? Overall the game seems to be significantly brighter - it looks like eye adaptation is no longer as intense as before. Also it looks like everything has a slightly different color tint, maybe they changed the HDR tonemapper?

PC specs: i5-12400F, RTX 3070 Ti and 32 GB of RAM.

Simulators I'm using: X-Plane 12, Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) and FlightGear.

Definitely. I noticed it brighter and just looking better. Of course while I was looking at those wonderful visuals it crashed again. Back to F1 2021.

All i can say is from in cockpit in the Bell 47 and H135 at aprox 2500ft  with the ultra preset ( -motion blur) with in game vsync@30fps I haven seen any noticeable pop in whilst panning or doing quick rotations.   Tested in Edinburgh, Sydney and Hobart.

Didn't try changing from in cockpit to 3rd person view or panning in third person..  but in normal cockpit view as i imagine most people would consider a normal simming scenario i saw no issue at all.

Clearly somethings up. There definitely seem to be people with issues.. I'm not seeing it .  Haven't really got a bad word to say about the update yet. (apart from the traffic causing CTD's bug.. that needs a hotfix quickly!)    It's all positive on my end.  Loving it so far.

I am now scared to get some altitude though..  is it going to be a pop in nightmare? ...i better go find out😄

Yes and that’s the “tragedy of Asobo”: ran all the way to the finish line, only to stop an inch short of winning…

Some folks will never be satisfied. Been that way with Flight Sim for 30 years. People expect a computer game to give them the immersion and reality of real life.

For $100, it’s an amazing piece of software. Head and shoulders above any previous version.

When I owned my fractional share of a C172P, was $100 wet per hour, but immersion and reality was amazing. Now I barely fly for real anymore, but this software is the next best thing.

Enjoy it folks. It’s just 0’s and 1’s programmed by talented humans. Get a pilot’s certificate if you want true flying. 👍

I have been a fan of MSFS and still am. But right now for me it is a CTD fest.
