So we shall not change anything in User.cfg and only use presets in graphic option? but if i set preset Ultra and change Glass Rendering to High it will be Custom again, this is only getting worse and worse.

At least on my end, it makes no difference wheter I use preset ultra or custom ultra, it simply does not stick. What a mess...

I don't know of the solution, very similar state issues in dev mode.

No as when Devgrp posted his finding people thought I was using wrong setting. Thankfully very kind people here like you harry did tests and saw just the same as me.

Like Chris says, setting just dont stick, not once have i seen EGNX in true Ultra but then I went from LOW to ULTRA, it seems you Have to go from MED to Ultra..../sign.

If someone could report our finding it would be great, as a lot of you know by my spelling and gammer, am dyslexic so if one of you could to a report please do so.

I have tested this now, I normally run with Ultra + Glass High with all photo options to off, and I had no textures on the buildings when I started up at EGNX , then I press esc to go back to graphics menu and changing to Medium Preset, save, and return to my normal settings, then I have Ultra, and the textures where back on the buildings.
But my settings will not stick, either if I restart from World Map or restart the computer, I have to do this procedure from the cockpit at each new start, this probably means that most people fly with Medium settings and think they fly in Ultra.... how about that, this is huge.

Maybe someone who has English as a native language can start a new thread and make this finding public for everyone, and explain how to get around the problem?

I don't know if it is the settings or just the way it's forcing a LOD refresh when you mess with the settings. It's kind of hard to tell sometimes because there was SO MANY visual changes in the last update that my memory on how everything originally looked is already kind of fried.

I guess I could refer to my very old screenshots, but then again, I do not really know what my settings were precisely at that time, close to ultra but definitely more of a custom-High-Almost-Ultra...

Well, to be honest, draw distance, amount of trees and buildings etc. seem to be on ultra, to me it seems that post processing is missing as well as texture details (check the ground, it is also sharper in the second screenshot). Could be something else than truly settings that do not stick, just as @Alpine Scenery suggests...

If this happens to Buildings, who knows where else might this be happening? Clouds? ...We are effectively flying on Medium, possibly almost on all settings, without knowing it. This is BIG.

You do not need to get back to the sim after you change to medium settings, just change to preset medium and then back to ultra direct after, and it will stick.
