If MFSF is the future for Aerosoft and they are stoping development for P3D I will consider them if they give us at least 50% off. For 30% I’ll pass. Thanks for the heads up.

Can anyone comment on whether the Sim Wings Munich for P3dv5 is much better than using the old Taxi2Gate EDDM with the Inibuilds patch?

Cheers, Pete

Agreed .... because of msfs2020 the decision to spend on p3d is getting harder!

Pete,

I will be able to tell you more on this when I install Sim Wings EDDM. I did purchase it yesterday to replace the T2G scenery I  already have.

From what I can tell, there were initial user complaints about the Simwings scenery, mostly related to textures being too light or too dark and apron coloration of the textures in keeping with the RW airport. Since its initial release, Sim wings has released a couple of updates that addressed most of these things. More detail is described in this Aerosoft thread that led to one of those updates:

https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/154993-eddm-improvement-suggestions/page/3/

I plan to install it at the weekend and then I should be able to make a better comparison between the two.

I bought it because it should represent a more up-to-date version of EDDM and I dont expect any developer to make a new version for P3D.

For the T2G scenery I suffered from a lot of SODE issues which I had to mess around a lot with.I am hoping the AFCAD is also more accurate with this scenery.

Cheers,

Was waiting for this sale to get EDDM. Got Bratislava as well.

I was asking previously in forums and on FB which is better and the majority voted for sim-wings. It has new tech PBR etc... and you will also be eligible for the MSFS version if you decide to purchase it

That may be enough to push me over the edge. I assume performance is good now? I had seen some posts a while back about performance issues.

Cheers, Pete

It's quite good, considering how huge and traffic-populated this airport is.

Agree 100%. Aerosoft has always been exceptionally stingy with their discounts and I have bought very little from them as a result.

Golden Age is more in touch with reality and now having a 50% off sale for their FSX/P3D aircraft.

But also have a look at this aircraft https://secure.simmarket.com/mario-noriega-designs-caproni-vizzola-c-22j-ventura-msfs.phtml. Not only a 5-star rated aircraft in its own right, but previous owners of the FSX/P3D version only pay EUR5 for the MSFS version. Now THAT is the kind of developer I will support. Aersosoft can go and fly their lofty kites as far as I'm concerned.

Is it that bad? There's no FSL A330 AFAIK, so the only alternative in P3D is Blackbox...
