Update is live

Smoothest and quickest update for me, even all the in game updates was the quickest it’s been so far. After messing around my performance is super smooth, most on high rest on ultra standard 1080p.

flying is a real joy in the sim for me, absolutely love the night time flights.

Just completed my first post-update flight. Took the Citation Longitude* from EDHL Lubeck to EDDS Stuttgart. Very smooth flight (48fps) and nice landing. On the ground at EDDS I was down to 25fps according to Game Bar but it seemed smoother than that. Only issue was the taxi chevrons took me to a U-turn into my parking spot! That and I slice poor Ms Groundcrew's head off!😱

EDDS looks nice enough but some of the textures are pretty blurry, especially on the jetways. Also, I noticed that every jetway where there was a static aircraft had its hood extended as though attached to the fuselage, despite the jetway itself still being in the retracted position.😶

I don't know if it was a coincidence or not, but my AP worked (sort of) for the first time in months - it actually followed the pink line. Then when I tried to follow a heading, it still followed the pink line!🙄 First time any plane's AP has followed the route in that time. Must investigate further...

Load the Xbox app and then try again. It’s posted by several folks that this solves the issue.

Ok, thank you very much.

Forgot to add that "Return to Main Menu" caused a CTD. Has happened a couple of times recently so hopefully just a coincidence.

Packing it in for now. Installer fails to decompress a 700mb chunk (1.188... 1.196?) and restarts the download of that chunk repeatedly. Been stuck in that loop for 3 hours despite a couple of restarts.

Now I read the lights are not working at my required render setting. Sigh.

So after updated the Xbox app which is/was supposed to be for Windows 10, it finally shows the 2GB update. It gets 98% done and stuck trying to install a 1.7.4 base file. Over and over. Close MSFS and restart and it now wants to download 60GB !!!!!

WTH MS?!

SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

Just got home and tried to start msfs. It told me to install a mandatory update in the microsoft store. Opened it and no update. Came here and found that I needed to install the xbox app which I did and still nothing in the microsoft store. Logged out and into the xbox app and microsoft store and still no update.  Rebooted and still no update.  Not sure what happens next, but currently have a rather expensive msfs that I can't use or update.

I actually remembered to empty the community folder this time too - for a change.

Surely it shouldn't have to be this difficult.

Perhaps servers being overloaded?

Hope you're right Mike, I'll give it another go in the morning.  The thing is though that if an update is mandatory then Microsoft should have the infrastructure to support it.

Seeing some odd blue tinted ground textures around terminals, taxiways, etc. at EDDF since the update.  Not sure if it's a WU6 issue or if WU6 broke something with Zinnertek textures (all content manager/etc. stuff is installed).  I was just at EDDF last night and it was fine.  Today bluish tinted asphalt everywhere except one corner of the airport south of the two runways where it has the expected gray shades.

I tried last night to update it, it went into a loop trying to download 2.97gb over and over, so i switched my pc off until this morning. Just started the game, now it wants to download 14.68gb, no idea why the size change, so its downloading that right now.

I noticed it also.  I don't have Zinnertek.
