Some Things Don't Change

The departure and arrival screen still doesn't reflect the latest airports.  What else is still problematic?  Time to dive a little deeper.

Same with the aircraft customization screen, still can't see what we enter into those boxes, its hidden. Still haven't fixed these small issues.

The fuel tank selector on the 172 steam gauge still doesn't move, the fuel tank selectors on the baron don't work, the softkeys on the Pipistrel still don't work.

I haven't had a CTD yet, but others have said they had.  I'm sure it's just a matter of time for me, since all I've done so far is try to create flights to see what was working.

Did they take into account any of the issues reported by their users?

So you guys were expecting those fixes in a World Update? Those may be fixed in the next SU, they never said they would fix those issues today. Don't know why you were expecting that.

Because when you release a service update that is riddled with bugs a month and a half ago, some of us would think they'd want to address these bugs asap to score some points with the community?

Common sense... The tool bar is still messed up by the way.

The night lighting and lack of Terrain Pre cache option in the VR section are two prime examples of pathetic, yes pathetic quality control at Asobo.

This is nothing new, it was funny, then it went beyond funny, now it's just plain pathetic.

They clearly have issues internally with the process of Bug Fixing vs Release Schedules, they clearly have internal issues dealing with the huge amount of bugs in their tracker, they clearly... simply... have internal issues.

the bugs continue to stack up

I think it's sensible to keep World and Sim updates and their related bug fixes separate, concentrating on one aspect at a time. it means waiting longer for sim fixes sometimes but I think it's more sensible than mixing such complicated coding.

There was a room for one or two hotfixes between SD5 and WU6.

They don’t. WU6 mandatory part is about correcting the « optimization »  process consequences of SU5 (pan & pop).

Actually the scenery portion of WU6 is NOT part of the optimization.  You DONT need to download the new scenery if you dont want to.  The new features are part of the 1.19.8.0 patch which is what you're forced to patch to.  If you dont download the new Germany/Swiss/Austria part from the Marketplace, you will STILL have the new functionality.

Actually what's really weird is, today KCRW showed up on my list, but I haven't been there since I started a cross-country flight from VA to CA exactly one year ago today!

So I'm guessing it's some weird calendar thing...

Aren't there many different teams of developers? At least this was the answer when someone asked to prioritize development. Now all the teams have collapsed into one that needs to concentrate on one aspect at a time, to justify that some bugs have not been addressed ....

Interesting.
