Day Lighting is spot on imo and will probably look much better on my HDR1000 monitor.

Very nice!

Yes, day (and also sunset) lighting looks good.

Also, I think the fact it has floats, is a hint that Austin did a rework on the water physics model.

He talked about improving them years ago, probably when v11 was just released, or even a little before. So I'm confident he has worked on them for v12.

According to Ben, the physics now takes the 3d shape of the waves into account, so it definitely has been reworked!
I like the sunset too. 🙂

That sun, sea and atmosphere look a lot more like it👍🏻

Looks nice. The helicopter choise does not, but that's just me. Seen too many R-22 arounds during the years and multiple simulators.

Lighting looks a bit better than XP11.  The water is really lackluster IMO - it is catching up to early 2000's technology.  MSFS water looks incredible in comparison but even that is average for these days. If you look at Sea of Thieves water, that is more recent technology (released in 2018). I guess if there was an XP demo with water similar to that I would be impressed. LR must do a lot better IMO.

Most, if not all of us, have just decided to ignore his empty ramblings.  Personally, I'm convinced he does it just to trigger a response.  Now he's resorted to thread-jacking

yep. Best is to ignore.

He is probably not even enjoying mfs else he wouldn't roaming the XP forums.

I don't really care what GAMES look better. Physics, dynamics, weather, system, sky.

I am learning to fly IRL. I look for simulation that can support the real world time. Not a game.

My current go to is P3D v4 with UTX and Orbx, ASN, and A2A Skylane with RXP GNS that is a ringer for the 182 I'm learning in.

If fan-boys are never critical of anything, then products will never improve. Be more realistic.  By now it's pretty clear they are never going to use a third party engine or third party satellite images. And they have never seem to have any plans to hire new graphics devs. So for the forseeable future the engine is going to be a home built one and changes will happen slow. There is no excuses it been over 2 years since MSFS trailer. No action was taken!

I recently read somewhere that someone called XP a "cockpit simulator". That hits the nail on the head IMHO. The outside world is a stepchild for LR and it will stay that way.

Try posting 1 negative thing in the MSFS forums (Of which I can find many).  Watch the torrent of abuse you get.  Even MSFS users get labelled trolls when they mention a single negative aspect of the sim.

I think people, like rka and Greazer, like to keep repeating the same thing, just to see their post count go up.  I can't even count how many times Greazer has mentioned the water.

@GoranM no intention going over there. Xplane will be my last flight sim. Just because we use it does not make one a word not allowed. Ni I just think they come here to poke because the mods let them.  Just maybe if they went away this forum might pick up, but no one has any reason to come here, its why I stayed away for so long.
