October 22, 20214 yr @elee My XBox S has a similar graininess at the fringes of some clouds but my nVidia GTX1070 doesn't do it. Have you tried a different driver? also note that I have not seen the effect you showed earlier with the really grainy higher level clouds. But I fly at low altitudes (3 to 5k feet) you should report that to the zendesk I think. | Dave | I've been around for most of my life. October 22, 20214 yr They are very grainy on High for sure SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.
October 22, 20214 yr Author I ask. Is there a way to reload the clouds or delete some image cache in case something is broken? Eduardo Lee (MROC)

October 24, 20214 yr Purported to be is a major weather update, and hopefully clouds. My guess is it's going to be dependent on the DX-12 implementation which I understand is coming soonish. My sense is what we have now in the way of weather and clouds is a placeholder for what is to come, albeit a very decent placeholder 😀 Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. October 24, 20214 yr Definitely some over-sharpening going on there. You can see it on the aircraft as well. It will definitely cause this issue, or as a minimum make it a lot worse. It affects the trees also which seem to sparkle with too much sharpening. I would turn of sharpening in the user config file and make sure sharpening is also off in any driver related software. At higher resolutions, it just doesn't need sharpening. Edited October 24, 20214 yr by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). October 24, 20214 yr I think that after su 5 update clouds have loosen its volumes too. Sky and clouds colors also are not same before su 5, they are like compressed images. You will remember how were fs9 and fsx skies and clouds, they have strange purple color bands etc. Lower bits color profiles or compressed images. But it is obvious that after su5 update, clouds and skies degraded significantly. C. Uygar Aircraft Maint. Engineer. at LTFJ
