Can my PC run MSFS 2020

Featured Replies

Hi there,
I have just built my PC and would like to purchase the new MSFS so I am just wondering what settings I could run it at based on my new system.

CPU: Intel i5 11600k 3.9GHz (4.9 GHz Turbo), 6core
GPU: Nvidia GTX 3070 TI Founders Edition
RAM: x2 8GB DDR4 3600MHz (total 16GB)
SSD: 2TB Storage
PSU: 750W Gold Rated PSU
Moteherboard: MSI MAG Z590 Tomahawk WIFI
Monitor: 27" 1920x1080 144Hz

Thanks
Perry

Welcome to the forums. With the system you built high to ultra settings shouldn't be a problem 👍

Cheers, Bert

Yes you’ll be able too, shouldn’t be any issues…Grab a copy, tinker with all the settings to dial it in to your liking and have some fun!

Cheers!

Tsk, Tsk.... the first comp. I ran this thing on was a 7700K and a 1060 6gig. with a 5mb/sec wifi connection. You will be fine.

But you will get real excited about a bigger monitor or TV

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's

Perry with that system you can set everything to Ultra. Even my way way lower class system I set it all to ultra and just turn down display resolution from 200 max to 160 (20% off). And the sliders also at 80% (200 set to 160, 400 set to 320, and preloaded LOD down from ultra to high. Everything else max.

But you can just run full blast settings.

Until you upgrade to 1440p or 4K monitory. Then nobody can run full blast on any system, I don't think. But with  a 2K monitor, you are over qualified.

I've got an extremely old i7-3820 (3,6GHz), 16GB RAM and a NVIDIA 780Ti and I'm having stable 30 FPS when flying the C152 on very high settings.

Please don't get a 1080p monitor in 2022... 27" require 1440p.

With this system you can run MSFS at 1440p and high / ultra settings, I would just spend a little more on RAM for a total of 32 GB.

I've to correct myself, MSFS is on medium settings at 30FPS.

I haven't done any tweaking or fiddling around with the graphic options yet but maybe my system is able to achieve 30 FPS with higher graphic settings too.
