November 3, 20214 yr Engine limitation. Somewhere I once read that DX12 might alleviate this, but who knows. One of the things that bothers me quiet often and for me, miracously doesnt get the attention it should. On the other hand I am aware that I am on the rather picky side of users obviously... November 3, 20214 yr Author So there is no solution then, it really looks terrible and is a immersion killer for me 😕 System: I ASRock X670E | AMD 7800X3D | 64Gb DDR5 6000 | RTX 4090 | 2TB NVMe | Seasonic Vertex 1000W I LG Ultra Gear 34 UW I
November 3, 20214 yr Wow! Why have I never seen that? Is there a specific set of circumstances that trigger it? Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

I might be wrong but I seem to notice it when trees are infront of water especially smooth water. It's likes it's something to do with the water masking? As I say, I may be wrong but that's where I notice it happens most to me. Cheers Terry No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea. Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower! November 3, 20214 yr I've seen those white borders around edges as well, it's been there for awhile now. and yes it does really kill the immersion and I hope they can resolve the issue soon. Has anyone reported it to zendesk yet? November 3, 20214 yr Add to this horrific graphic anomaly, the banding that occurs when in mist, looking towards the sun ... PLUS ... the white "ghost" reflection of a user's aircraft in water way off in the distance.
November 4, 20214 yr I've never even noticed that. But I don't see colour banding, either, like people have posted screenshots of, so perhaps some of us don't experience these issues and it depends on individuals' displays and/or settings/drivers.
November 4, 20214 yr I have that too. Most prominent with trees against the sky or against water in the background. I feel like FSX and P3D had it as well...can't remember the technical term. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

Now I am not seeing it either... at any time in the day (clear skies, flat water here, as requested). Maybe the infamous AA Gamma correction also in this case?? 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber

I also do not see it in such scenarios you show, more if water shows reflection from the sky, e.g. white clouds or silver reflection due to view angle, and trees that are really close, e.g. on the shores of the reflecting water (river or lake or sea). Above example does NOT recreate this scenarios, so no wonder you do not see it... BUT: if you also do not see it in the scenarios I described, it might be indeed related to AA gamma correction, I have to try this out. OK, if you don't resolve it with gamma correction off please let me know the location and weather/time conditions to test in order to reproduce it.
